And a win resides on the Defense.

24/35 274 yards 2 tds 1 int
27 rush yards
yeah i said it. i think we open it up a lot here, he makes a rookie mistake, but overall leads this team to a solid victory. the defense will be inspired and RESTED, and they should play like we all know they can.

Betts: 23 carries, 107 yards, 1 TD.
Duckett: 17 carries, 75 yards, 1 TD.
Cartwright: 9 carries, 35 yards.
I wouldn't expect Saunders to open it up Jason's first week. I expect to see a lot of the running game, and a safe passing game (screens, slants, outs, and maybe a bomb or two).

12/28 192 Yards O TD's 2 INT's 68 yards rushing.
Narrow victory for the Skins with Campbell not looking statistically good but playing well on the crucial downs. Defense steps it up and finally locks down the Buc's rushing attack.

I second this motion.

i,m seeing the redskins putting together a gameplan that campbell will be most comfortable with. and have them run the ball with betts and maybe duckett. do some roll outs screens then a couple bombs in there as well.
betts has a good day our defense rallies behind campbell...

Motion carried! Someone call Al and let him know we've made his decisions for him.

Redskins get 150+ yards rushing this week, by committee. Skins get 2 rushing TDs.
Campbell throws 15/24 for 175 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.

That sounds very realistic/good.

Monte Kiffin is one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL.
I don't know the status of Simeon Rice, Ellis Wyms, and Shelton Quarles (all of whom missed the game last night) but when they are all in the lineup Tampa Bay still has a very stingy defense.
I'm personally expecting Campbell to struggle on Sunday. But if we keep the ball on the ground a lot and don't ask too much of the young QB, I think what Justice Hog predicted sounds about right.
I'd like to see him throw a TD pass, not throw any other picks besides the token Ronde Barber interception that he seems to get every game, and I'd love to see him scramble for a few first downs. As long as our offensive line can keep the Bucs front four off his back, he should be able to have a solid game.

I think he could have a long day, I hope there teaching him to read the blitz, Tampa's D isnt great but there not that bad, Monte Kiffen and Gruden are gonna send the house. I think his best stuff might be 3 step drops all day, ironically with the pressure i expect, the swing passes and short passing game that weve used all year might actually work well this week.

And yet Carolina passed them to death with open receivers when it counted last Monday.
No question that Monte is going to put pressure on tyhe kid. Our staff is counting on that. But I will go on a limb here to say that one of our receivers will have a +100 yard receiving game. Santana is a bit hurt. So, I think it will be Lloyd.
I expect a GREAT game for Duckett. Lets give him 95 yards.

Is Betts going to be the featured back or will it be Duckett? I think Betts is ok, but I sure would like to see Duckett as the featured back. The guy is a horse.

Me too, TJ is a better back than Betts imo.

From what I hear, Saunders LOVES Betts, so I'd prepare yourself to see a lot of him, and not so much of Duckett. Although I'd love to see TJ used mostly in the third quarter to wear down the Bucs D.

I think Campbell will be fine and I do not think the game plan will vary too much from what we have seen. I am not worried about the outcome of the game being affected by the offensive side of the ball - I think this game is more affected by what our defense does.
If our D can be a little more like last year and give the offense better field position we will have a lot better chance at success. If the offense does not have to do anything special I see an effective run game with good balance between pass and run.
We need our defense to play better and our offense to not make mistakes.
No worries
