And I will not call you a TRAITOR for that. I am in a real good mood this week. You see how a nice guy I can be?

No, you're not nice - it's just the sedatives kicking in.

Our Hognostications articles have been submitted to the staff. Please keep an eye on the main Hognostications page for the Hognostications prepared by Texas Hog and yours truly.
Let the bloodshed begin (in memory of the results obtained by most in week 7).

Boss,
Can you verify that my picks are in, please? The sheet has not been updated on the site, and I don't get the emails. I entered them on Thursday.

Yes, your picks are in. In the future, you can check here:

Arizona and Houston?
I think those two will get me nearer to your spot or get me further in trouble.

the refs screwed me (and presumably a lot of others) on the jets/browns game. that was so clearly a TD, he was obviously coming down in bounds.

Another disastrous week for MOST Hognosticators.
This week was factual PROOF that the BYE week will not help the Washington Redskins and its fans in any possible way. We are doomed for the rest of the season.
Seriously though, that PERFECT week looks an eternity away according to the scores obtained by most of us in this group. When -even- CLL gets a really ridiculously low score, you know that the rest of us mortals are in trouble.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect will be not our GREAT scores

but instead the relative chenges in our standings. I will wait to have a look at the weekly and season scores to type a few more comments.

Quick Hognostications note... I'm having trouble with the picksheet at the moment, so the week 9 picksheet is NOT yet posted. I will try to sort it out through the day and get it posted before tomorrow.
Weekly and season standings on the Hognostications page are now current to yesterday's results.
Thanks.

Geez, I guess you guys really mean it with that Friday night deadline. I sent my picks Saturday morning, and instead of 9 wins and a chance to win the week, I get a zero. That sucks!

Thanks BH. I know that this is a lot of work.
On that note, Congratulations to Niki for a GREAT week! If Minny wins at home against the Pats, she wins this this week's tournament. Otherwise, it REALLY gets complicated because seven other posters are one only game behind and they picked New England.
I do hate to do this but I can not help myself:
Code: Select all
Pos Poolmeisters W L T Pct. T/B Needs
1 NikiH 9 4 0 69.2 56 Min
43 JansenFan 4 9 0 30.8 45 **
We now know who the REALLY knowledgeable fan is at home.

And in last place so far:
Code: Select all
Pos Poolmeisters W L T Pct. T/B Needs
45 CLL 3 10 0 23.1 40 **
OUCH! Folks, it can happen to -anybody-. I know Redeemed deserves this spot but he does not have a lock even on that.
Congratulations to JPM36 for his first place in the season standings. theoneandonly9, Tinco, Dangerfield, Scottish, and joebagadonuts follow in a tie in second place. CLL is in third but we are ONLY at the mid-season mark. Anything can and most likely will happen yet.

As a reference to keep our weekly and season scores in perspective:
Week 8
Allen 8-6
Hoge 8-6
Jaworski 7-7
Salisbury 7-7
Schlereth 7-7
Theismann 7-6
Mortensen 5-9
Golic 5-9
The Sleazy 8 - 6
Season
Golic 72-42
Hoge 72-42
Schlereth 72-42
Jaworski 71-43
Allen 70-44
Salisbury 70-44
Theismann 63-43
Mortensen 61-53
I think that joebagadonuts won the tournament this week. But this is an unofficial result at this time. We will confirm later on.

Well, after the Raiders result against Pittsburgh, I see no reason to put any thought into this in future - it's time to use the randomiser!
Must remember to check the Redskins box though

That's why you have received a high score not once but TWICE in a row over the last weeks.
Not that you always make traditional and comfortable picks

But these last two weeks you were rewarded for being either unconventional or for keeping a true eye ahead of the facts.
Were you driving the car that Ben crashed against?

Wow, Will, that's a tough break. But did you really get 9 wins?

Good Luck With Your Picks!!
With all the whining on this board, what's a little more from me? If I get my picks submitted into the system before the games, can't they just be entered afterwards? Or at least the system could
not send an email that leads me to believe everything's ok...
Am I the only one that missed the deadline? Or are all those blanks just people that don't pick?

Nope, still not getting sympathy.
It was week 8, and by then, you should have understood that the Hognostications deadline is observed by all each week.
Good picks. Tough luck. Better luck this week.
