I saw it, it looked like an idiot. People are complaining all over the boards about Joe Gibbs' press conference, at least Joe is a professional and has class...... don't feed the media.

I saw it live and uncut last night on espnews. It is pretty damn funny because he was doing fine the whole press conference then just lost it on the last question.

This reminds me of the Kellen "Soldier" Winslow II hissy-fit from his days at the U.

I agree with Dennis, this team blew it. As a gambler I was lined up nicely to win 600.00 with Arizona on the money line. Instead I lost 100. oh well not the first time.

i would kill to see our coach display that much fire. you SHOULD be that pissed after blowing a game like that! that's a much better response than going:

[Hans Moleman voice]"Ohhhh, geee, oh dear... well I guess we're in a rough patch here, ohh boy... what do we do... we're all in this together, oh gee..."[/Hans Moleman voice]

makes me want to barf.

I disagree, dcd. Gibbs' class, shown in not calling out players, not getting mad at his team to the media (which doesn't accomplish anything), etc., is part of what makes him stand out as both a coach and a man.

By not tearing apart his team on national TV, Gibbs helps to stave off numerous locker room issues before they can ever start. Your team can't go very far with internal strife, and even though we're struggling right now cancer in the locker room is NOT one of our issues. (At least, as far as I can tell).

I'll take Gibbs any day over other coaches' styles of crying to the media about how bad their team is.

Showing fire to ESPN doesn't do squat; it's what you tell your players and how you work during the week (when no one is watching) that matters in terms of preparing for next Sunday.

Agreed, Scottie. Your leader must be stable and consistent. If you think about it, the players for our team have been asked to learn a new system almost every year...there's no need for the coach to go out there and say, "Yeah, we suck. Next question?"
