Our Play Calling

I am totally at a loss as to some of our play calling in certain situations. Case in point:

1. What were we thinking with 1:30 left in the first half, by running the ball twice, then on 3rd down throwing deep, and then letting the clock run out while trying to get set up.

2. Do Gibbs and Brunell realize that Moss is not the only reciever? Why on earth is Brunell passing to Moss so much when he is double and triple covered at times? Our recieving corps along with Portis and Betts presents us with a potent weapon. Why is the play calling turing our pass offense into a one dimentional threat? Moss is a great player, but he can't carry the passing game on his shoulders. I know there are some Lloyd doubters, but the guy hasn't been given a decent shot. He cought the big 52 yarder today that set up a TD, but that was his only catch today.

in regards to #2: a play is called with multiple routes. the QB makes the decision about which one to throw to.

i just don't feel we'd be complaining at all about the playcalling if the plays had been executed properly and we'd scored at least 2 more TDs on those deep patterns when receivers were open but underthrown.

playcalling always seems bad when the execution is poor.
