It is amazing to me

It amazes me how long some of the passages are that are wrintten after a loss. I, and I know I am not the only one, did not think that the team would finish the season undefeated. Let's hope that the fans are still supportive of the team. I just wonder why the thoughts that fans express are so long when the team loses versus a win. Just a thought.

For me, I knew we'd have a tough time winning in the Meadowlands with the Giants coming off a bye with thier season on the line - I just wished we showed up and competed.

It's a simple fact of life - people just love to analyse a loss. Nobody has much to say after a win, other than whoohooo. Winning is exactly what us fans expect, and think we deserve for our support.
For some reason, we feel personally let down and offended when the team plays badly, like it's something to do with us.
I've seen it with NFL fans, and I've seen it with soccer fans - we just love to moan. We never think that the team deserves the sort of support that we supposedly give it.

As I posted in one of the "freak-out" threads:
Yeah, I agree. People are freaking out here. It's really silly.
Yes, we lost to the Giants. Yes, it was a pathetic effort.
But honestly you wouldn't expect us to go 16-0. All of the NFC East teams are very good, and it's critical to hold your home court.
I expected us to lose to the Giants at the Meadowlands and at Texas Stadium (we never traditionally play well at either place, last years 2 miracle minutes at Dallas aside).
We are playing one hell of a hard schedule. I expected us to beat the Vikings, lose to the Jags, beat the Texans, and lose to Dallas and the Giants away. Wish we had beat the stupid Vikings at home, that's the one that stings.
2-3 at this point. It happens. I mean if we had the Ravens powder-puff schedule things might be very different, but we don't. We play one seriously NASTY schedule.

Cleg I agree with you but even in the win VS. the Jags the Skins' D was exposed and people are realizing that this isn't going to be the magical season it was. Not unless Dexter Manley and CHarles man turn 20 years younger all of a sudden.
