Now that they are 3 and are starting to understand and talk more, i am
enjoying teaching them all about the skins....and boy were they ever BORN to
be skins fans like me....I already told you about our reaction on sunday
(the first game we ALL watched together) and watching the 82 championship
game I have on tape specially the manley sack, Danny White Crying and Darryl
Grant INT TD, plus after a TD the singing of Hail to the Redskins....
Well last night I was watching the Yankees on TV, Playoffs, of the quads
only the 3 boys, not the girl and my 7 yr old boy and I were in my room
chilling on my bed..... All of the sudden, Peter says.. Daddy this is
boring, I wanna see Redskinnnns, Daddy Touchdown Washington Redskins....Men
That made my night....I went to my dvd library and got the 87 Super
Bowl...put it on and said to them... boys....today u r going to meet Doug
Williams and Timmy Smith, ....... this is lesson 3.
I love it...I love it...I am sooo happy the boys are so into it...of course
the Wife is maaaaaaad as hell, she hates football, she goes thru the motions
on being a redskins fan.... just to humor me, but now.....i got 5 fans to
enjoy every sunday....
Just wanted to share this with ya.... Soon I will send you a pic of all of
us in Redskins attire.

That's awsome dude.
I have 2 daughters, ages 3 and 5. Having girls, I never thought I would have anyone other than my wife to enjoy the Redskins with. I was wrong. They love football and the Skins. They even know all the words to the Redskins Fight Song and sing it everytime the Skins score. It's really great.
Good luck with your kids. Enjoy them!!!

That's awesome! I have twins who are also three, and I'm having a similar experience. When they showed a close-up of Brunell after his awful pick, one of my daughters said, "who was bad on the TV? Was it him?" (Paraphrasing a bit.)

Very cool, skinsfreak. I have a two year old daughter who watches the skins with me. She wears her jersey (or pajamas) with so much pride and knows all of "hail to the redskins." Even the second verse!
I've been curious if it will last with a daughter - glad to hear your five year old is still a fan! Watching with my little girl has made the skins games even better. Can't wait to take her to fedex for her first live game!!!

I have a daughter that just turned 2 and have been putting her in a jersey on game days. Last Sunday I asked her what she wanted to wear. "Wedskins jersey daddy."
It makes you feel good when you know you're raising them right.

My five year old daughter has struggled because we live in Philly and when she goes to school all the kids talk about the Eagles. But, she loves the Skins on game day and watches the games with me on the dish. She knows all the words to Hail to the Redskins and I even made up a version for her:
Sage Ella Cleghorn, Sage Ella girl, Sage is my sweetie, she's the number 1, rah, rah rah.
Unfortunatley, last year she was taught the words to that stupid "fight song" of the Eagles too.

That's awesome....I can only imagine how much joy that brings to your life. My dog (she's only a puppy) is learning the word touchdown. She knows everytime I yell "touchdown" she gets a touchdown cookie.

Thanks. I've always wondered if it will last with my daughters too. But they're always there with me and they always enjoy watching the games. I'm sure that one day, their friends and boyfriends will be more important than watching the Skins with Dad, so I'll just treasure it for now. Seriously, when the Skins score and they start singing the Fight Song, it truly melts my heart. Having kids is wonderful. I wish your daughter and everyone else's children all the best. You too, Jorge! Hug 'em and love 'em while you can!

This is one of the most important job as a Dad ... to bring up our kids right.
My son is 16 ... some of the best times have been fan appreciation day, training camp, the scrimage with Ravens, and the Redskin game each week! He always wears my Redskins ties to school (football team players must wear shirt and tie).
At his age, its about the only thing we can agree on!
