Who is the best o-lineman for the skins. My vote goes for Randy Thomas for a couple of reasons. First, when do you ever hear his name called? Never, that is almost always good for an offensive lineman. Just for the fact that he is doing his job and we know that that OL never gets credit. Two, I think he is a BIG part of our rushing attack. He can pull with the best of them. With Saunders runnning a lot to the outside, he is called upon a lot to open those holes for the running backs. What do you guys/girls think?????????

Funny, I've never heard Randy Johnson's name called either.

I voted for Randy as well, but has anyone else noticed that Derrick Dockery has improved a lot from last year?

Randy Johnson will be in the Hall Of Fame. I believe his numbers are 3rd best all time, for a left hander.

I don't know that I would be able to select one player from this line but I do think the right side has been doing very well so far. This line has gotten better each week and I think all of them are playing particularly well the last 2 weeks.

So at this stage I would not pick one because they all have done well because of who they are playing next to rather than individually - sorry if that is too confusing

Anways, it's gotta be Randy THOMAS. He's got skill, strength, and best of all a mean streak.

And of course Dockery is most improved (check out my avatar)

As for Jansen, this it seems like he's doing to much "Arm Blocking". Meaning, he's trying to block people just by sticking his arms out, instead of getting in their grill and going for the pancake.

Randy Thomas is the best pulling Guard in the league, hands down. Dockery appears to be learning his ways. Samuels and Jansen both started out rough, and have been coming on strong. Rabach has been stellar. After watching the Jags game in person, and then watching the replay on NFL Network last night, I am amazed at the difference in play between the Dallas game and the Jags game.

Apparently not often enough to learn his name.

Thomas may BE our best o-lineman, but Dockery is playing as well as any of them right now.

After re-watching the replay... there are a couple of plays where the o-line were just sooooo dominant. I mean john henderson is one of THE best DT's in the league, and there were at least two plays where he got blasted so far off the line of scrimmage that he was in the SECONDARY before he stopped going backwards. Dockery and Samuels pulled on a version of the countertrey in the 4th quarter and Henderson ended up 11+ yards from the LOS. That's an amazing push against anyone, but against one of the best run stoppers in the NFL? That's just simply awesome.

But I'd just like to point out that they ALL played well the last two games... even Randy Johnson.

Dockery missed practice yesterday due to a death in the family. I hope everything is ok with him. He's shown so much improvement that he has to be proud of his performance this year.

I think this line is functioning so well together that I'm not going to break it down to who is best. Heck our other offensive players threw some pretty good blocks during the Jags game.

By the way, does anyone know if this is Dockery's contract year?

I think it might be, and history says player normally do their best in their conract year...

I can't disagree Randy Johnson (aka Thomas) is best, but Jansen is close. The right side of the line is great, which is particularly important since our QB is a lefty.

I live in NY and they gloat what a "bust" the Jetskins ended up.

As we are saying, Randy Thomas is our best lineman.

Coles was decent and then we traded him back for Moss, which seems to be working out.

Hall has had injuries but is a very good kicker when healthy which he seems to be again.

OK, Morton was a bust, but he was also a lesser $ signing.
