I couldnt find a thread on this, so I thought I'd share...
Anyone hear about Capitals phenom Alexander Ovechkin hitting a hole-in-one yesterday in his first ever game of golf?

I think only a golfer will truly probably understand that for what it's actually worth.
Unbelievable, apparently the kid can do just about anything.
I don't know how much media play it got in washington, but the Canadian sports broadcasters had 2 or 3 minutes of coverage on it. He looked a lot like happy Gilmore only not quite so polished, but the guy still hit a hole-in-one in his first ever game of golf.
If he was smart, he'd never play another game of golf in his life.
NHL starts tonight... Leafs are in action against the Senators... Caps start tomorrow against the Rangers in New York, and have their home-opener against the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
I know there were a bunch of THNers that got their first taste of live hockey this weekend and had a really good time... I'm sure tickets are still available for the game at www.capstickets.com. Remember that you can get Caps tickets for as low as $22/ticket... and that you can get really good side balcony seats for about $35 a pop. You can metro right to the arena too...
Caps are in tough against the 'Canes, but it's opening night, so support your team and fill the house!!!!!
