Will -anybody- ever get a perfect Hognostications score during the 2006 regular season?

I have been asking myself the above question. A few weekly winners have been close a number of times with as few as only two games wrong over the 2005 and the first three games of the 2006 season.

Bragging exaggerations aside, and please no promises, What is your Hognostication of all Hognostications?

We will score this one too!!!

Someone will, I'm sure. I'm equally as sure that it won't be me! :-(

I've played in pools for years, and I've only ever seen one perfect score. Of course it was in a week where I went 15-1, and the 1 was a Washington loss to Dallas. ;furious;

Oh yeah! That was a trap for REDEEMED and you fell for it
Me, myself, my big mouth and I will get it

I will say, somebody will do it -this- season. Not now because the dust has not settled yet. But somebody might during the second half of the season.

I know I will get a perfecto this season, but, admittedly, it gets tougher from here on out to do so.

At the beginning of the season, it's more of a game of chance, so we throw caution to the wind, and let our picks do the talking.

I find it a little more difficult as the season progresses, since we "know" who's gonna win the matches on a weekly basis. When we find out we were wrong, it hurts more, since we thought we had it all figured out.

Well, good luck to the rest of you getting the second perfecto of the season, as I will get the first!!

At least we know who the two votes for the third option come from.

It's really hard to get a perfect score because there are upsets EVERY week, and it's so tough to predict which ones will be the upsets. I got killed last week. If someone does get a perfect score, I doubt he or she will be atop the standings for the season. You have to pick too many upsets every week to do it.

How so?

True, picking a perfecto does not translate to being atop the season standings, but, who's to say you can't pick a perfecto and end up at the top.

From my perspective (being on the brink of accomplishing both feats ), it is TOTALLY possible.

Just sit back and be a witness.

I will be perfect, but not until Week 13. I have foreseen it.

I think if a Redskin loss stops someone from getting a perfect score they should get it anyway.

No way.

"Almost perfecto" doesn't cut it.

I mean, bragging rights are on the line, bro!!!!

Plus, the Skins aren't losing at all the rest of the way!!!!!!

I think straight up is easier than ATS.

Mr. Boombastic.....I agree. Actually, maybe we should just take the skins game off the board or forcibly fill in the Skins on everyone's picksheet. It would be totally lame to get edged out at the end of the year by someone who picked against the skins a few times, thus making the difference in the final standings.

Would a 14-0 record this week count as a "perfecto" or a "Diet Perfecto", on account of the bye teams?

I wanna know so I can properly acknowledge my performance this week!!!!

12/12=100% just as 14/14=100%, and 100%=perfection, no matter how you slice it.

so go on and get after it, there will be no asterisk-ification on my part, unless you pick the Jaguars, then your mark will be expunged from the record books altogether.

Lucky 13, eh? The way -our- Hognostications are going, we should not hold -our- breadth.

Not one but TWO Hognosticators with ONLY one game off the perfect record!!!

theoneandonly9 and SkinsJock:

Thanks RiC and my congrats to theoneandonly9 also.

I must admit that it is a little frustrating to be so close to "el perfecto" as our buddy TRO would say but I just do not like the patsies and love to pick against them

There's 13 weeks to go and by the looks of things so far I would not be surprised to see one of these guys get a perfect score - CLL and a number of others are consistently up there and that has been very impressive for 4 weeks!

Yeah, but these guys have an advantage over me. I'm Hognosticating with only a pea sized brain to help me. Therefore, my performance is all the more creditable.
