NY rivals DC?

I wanted to ask some locals how the talk radio handles things when the boys lose badly. Five weeks ago, I was compelled to call in to WFAN (home of "Mike and the Mad Dog") because they were going on and on about LA, and how much he improves an already-stellar linebacking corps featuring a former team mate and still-best friend. I waited on hold for 20 minutes, but got through, and let the overnights guy have it. When I hung up, I felt like I'd made my point...Arrington is all potential, no show.
He proceeded to light me up, saying that I shouldn't be bitter, since it was my legendary coach who'd botched the whole thing.
Tonight, the same guy is saying "Well, I can see why Gibbs wanted him out of Washington. He's a free-lancer, no doubt about. He needs to take a long drink from the fountain of youth..." blah-blah-blah.
Man. Nobody is getting to the QB on that defense like they were supposed to.
Does the talk radio in DC rip up the Redskins like this after a bad game?

There is nothing as bad as NY smack talk in radio. My 2 cents

I can't really remember TC, I've been out of the DC area since high school graduation in the early 1990's. I think this is an interesting thread though, because of what I see/hear out here in Denver. Not to hijack your thread, but I want to mention that the Denver media is unbelievable when it comes to being homers. I don't know that I've ever heard any real substantive discussion regarding the Broncos except blowing sunshine up the organizations nether regions. I've worked in NY for months at a time before, so I know that the media there is crazy, and I have seen some other markets where it is a nice mix. I think DC has a good mix from what I remember and can pick up via internet radio etc.

Unfortunately, the Broncos seem to always be good, but even when they pick busts or during the Griese era etc., the media NEVER challenges Shannahan. I hate the Broncos, but I must admit that he has had unprecedented success out here over the last 10 years.

Dude, you need to call those guys back and have a little 'remember me?' chat, rub their noses in it.

There is no one that viscious on the air waves round here, but talk radio is based on the ability to over react to any given situation at the drop of a hat.

The joke in my house growing up was about the Giants talk radio of the day. It seems eerily similar to what the Giants do during the first three quarters of their games:

"Why can't the Giants just score?"
