Hognostications NFL Week 2

Here we go again. This time I will be better prepared. I promise. My Hognostications score for the first week is just as unacceptable as the loss against the Vikings.
PLEASE do not post your Hognostications in this thread. If you have REGISTERED already, just go to the Pick sheet and do your thing THERE.
PLEASE only register as a new player in case you have not done so yet.
This thread is intended to talk about the picks, your favourite teams for the week and to ridicule others with awful scores like mine, Texas Hog's and UK Skin's. Oh yes, Fios' too.
Enjoy,
RiC

Giants-Eagles should be a really fun game to watch! Rooting for the G-men.

Colts over Texans at home. I know, I know, call me crazy, but I've got a feeling about this one.

This week I go 16-0 or some variation of that involving a large number in the loss column

15 Dallas
I'd love to be wrong on game 15.

Ridicule my score, would you?

I was plain unlucky - who would have thought the Chargers would beat the Raiders?
I guarantee at least 12 wins out of my picks this week. There's no way that my luck can be as bad as last week. I am beginning to feel the inspiration now. This limey is going to apply boot to buttock this week, so there.

He's not alone. Poor old RiC is going to have a coronary when he sees that. This could be uglier than if somebody had called Art Monk a no good bum.

Aha!
The first
TRAITOR of the season. No faith, no conviction and no courage? My, my.
It had to happen. It always does. The bandwagon is slippery when wet after a little rain. Think about it guys. This silver and blue
TRAITOR may derive some pleasure from getting it
wrong.
We the life-long Redskins fans wearing burgundy and gold in our heart will have the honour of winning the game -and- getting the pick
right after the battle.
Who else wants Joe Gibbs and the Washington Redskins on his/her corenr. I know that I DO!!!

This is a post in anticipation of what might follow RiC's post. . .
Question: Does picking Dallas this week make you not a Skins fan, or any
less of one?
My answer: While picking Dallas this week does not mean that you are not a fan of the Skins, and it does not mean that you are any less of one. . . (we've removed negative attribution here)
. . .nevertheless there is something to be said for Redskins fans that DO pick the Skins to win week in, week out AND believe each prediction to be true, good, and not false hope.
Therefore, it can be said that Skins fans whose loyalty extends to Hognostications
adds to their fandom without condemning those that don't follow these actions.
I doubt that's going to make anyone happy, but it's the way that I see it.
. . .as for me, I will always pick the Skins.

i only have 2 rules for hognosticating my picks.
1. always pick for the skins
2. never pick dallas
so picking dallas would break both of those rules.

The pick is based on pure logic, and reasoned assumption.
If fan X (pretend it's Countertrey) has a nose for loosing football pools, because he is completely devoid of any form of luck, then picking Dallas all but guarantee's a Redskins victory.
It's tough, but someone must sacrifice. If is is me, then, so be it. I am akin to that patriot, whom, in pursuit of the noble cause, permits himself to become the target of derision and humiliation by the unknowing and unimaginative. Martyr me, if you must. I shall still reign victorious in NFL heaven.

Your choice:
1) Firing squad
2) Hanging
3) Lethal injection
4) Electric chair
-or- the worst and most painful torture in
HOG heaven
5) Constant reminders about this choice until the next game!
Go ahead. make my day.

YOu can run but you can't hide
TRAITORS!
Here goes the list of fans who have Bill Parcells and the Pukes in their corner of the ring for the Hognostications this week:
ATV, Countertrey, JPM36, Justice Hog, Scottish Hog, and counting ...
With names like Countertrey or "Etcetera" Hog how can ANY of you dare to Hognosticate against Joe Gibbs and the Washington Redskins?
You will pay, not in little bits. You will pay BIG TIME for this insult against the character and history of our great institution.
So, here it goes: I RATHER LOSE A PICK WITH THE REDSKINS THAN WIN A PICK WITH THE PUKES.
Of course, I am selfish and just plain smart. Some of us will get the pick -and- the victory. It will be fun watching you from a very LONG distance.
Enjoy your pick.

Countertrey, give them heck yellow
TRAITORS!
Shame, shame, shame on them! Not even willing to come here and explain the reasons for their acts of betrayal. It figures.

Justice.. you too picked Dallass...
You see, I honestly go into every week thinking that the Skins can win.
I don't do it because I'm a fan, or based on last weeks score/performance.
I honestly believe the Skins can beat any team in the NFL on any give Sunday, and I truly believe that.
But what I can't believe, is that someone who calls themself a Skins fan, would actually pick the Dallass Cowboys to beat the Washington Redskins, especially for a little game on the internet.

I posted a message to Joe Gibbs in one of the Blogs:
You can count on us the life-long fans of the Washington Redskins to overcome all adversity and support our team regardless of the outcome of any game, and even regardless of the outcome of the entire season. We are Washington Redskins fans for life in victory or defeat. Please remind the coaches and players that we, YOUR fans, are TOGETHER with you on and off the field. Defeats have lessons to teach to everybody in one way or another. In our case as fans, it helps to differentiate who truly bleeds burgundy and gold and who dresses up as clowns for carnival in whatever colours are fashionable at the time.
What will he be thinking about some of us now???

picking the cowboys against the skins should be punishable by being tortured to death.

Ill be more than happy to do it, nobody did it last week right?
Lets not forget, it took 2 weeks for the board to collapse. I think we've set a new record this season.
