DVR Disaster with the game last night

So I'm a die-hard Skins fan living in UT right now, and I have set my DVR to record the game last night (since it started when I was still at work). For some reason, as I'm watching the game in the first half, the remote basically ceases to work when it comes to pausing, skipping through commercials, etc. I can't even turn the damn thing off, but the game is playing, so I can watch it like a normal Sunday afternoon game.

My wife decides at halftime that she can "fix it" and finds the DirecTV manual and begins fiddling with it. I told her to forget it, that we'll just watch the game and then figure it out. I go upstairs to grab a drink while they're doing the halftime show, and when I come downstairs, the TV shows it's halftime of the CHARGERS game, and they're showing highlights of the Skins game.

I yell what's going on, and my wife said "well, I figured out how to reset the DVR, let's go back and figure it out." Well, I had added time to the DVR setting in the event the game went long, and the recording hadn't finished yet. So my wife, in resetting it, deleted the recording. I saw Hall's shank on a halftime replay.

Did our second half suck as badly as I guessed it did from the scoring summary? Help me out, I'm fuming here.

It was bad. Not awful but the defense was pretty bad.

Your DVR and wife had sympathy for you... I wouldn't want to watch or keep a replay of the second half... It was terrible. at least there are 15 more games to correct that mess
