Ive seen this quote on a couple websites so far..do you all really think we sit Portis for season opener or just make the Vikings think we are...I mean i know i rather give him rest another week and put him in agaisnt Dallas...but I dont want to look past the Vikings...for the sake of jinxing

Portis plays. Gibbs has said and clinton has said thats the goal. He's running the plays in walkthroughs.

We don't need Portis to beat the Vikes.......I say sit him if there is any question about his health.

We will need Portis in Week 2!

I'm still wondering if Portis isn't hurt worse than we were told and that's why we brought in TJ Duckett.

Good question. The problem is if they tell us his real availability, the Vikes, Boys, et al will know too. Better to keep us and them guessing how to prepare. In about 3 weeks, we'll know.

I say we suit Portis up for the Vikes but don't play him unless we're losing at half time.

Come on, it's Joe Gibbs. Of course CP won't play.

Unless he is hurt worse than we've been told, he'll suit up & probably start. i do think we'll give him more rest if possible.

If it was worse, you'd think he would have undergone surgery rather than just rehab, like Shawn Springs did.

I say we play Clinton, but alleviate his work load, and let betts, and T.J. Duckett get some work, and let Clinton play every down against Dallas in week 2
