NFL teams reduce rosters to 53 men


It's the final round of cuts for many NFL organizations. Now that the preseason is complete and the players have been evaluated, the time has come to separate those worthy of a roster spot and those who aren't.

As teams part ways with their players, NFL.com will keep you posted with every roster cut for the Sept. 2 deadline when teams must have 53 players.

An (INJ) next to a player's name indicates that a player was waived after reaching an injury settlement.

HoustonTexans.com reports the Houston Texans have placed RB Domanick Davis (knee) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2006 season.

Broncos | Dayne told he's been cut

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos RB Ron Dayne has been told he's been cut by the team. "I kind of understand. Once I got hurt, the other guys stepped up," said Dayne, who began training camp as the starting running back, but quickly was surpassed by undrafted rookie RB Mike Bell and then suffered turf toe in the preseason opener and didn't play again.

Browns | Suggs waived from team
