Any of you think he will crack the starting lineup this year, I think after a couple of games he will unseat Holdman. What do you all think?

Maybe my mid-year? I don't see it happening very soon. It'll be later than Rodgers or Taylor were able to make the starting line up.

Probably game four or thereabouts.

He wont get the job until Holdman has it taken away. From what I've been hearing, Warrick has been kinda good.

Have you guys been watching pre-season? Holdman has been looking quite good. I guess we won't know until Sept. 11th just how good he's going to be for us, but I've really liked what I've seen so far.

I doubt McIntosh will get much playing time this year behind everybody else.

He'll get playing time. Holdman has never been that good against the pass.

Holdman looks like a totally different player this year -- which is good.
It'll give Rocky a chance to ease in but you can rest assured that if Rocky is suited up, Gregg Williams will find some situations to make use of his particular skillset.

Between the fact that Gregg likes to ease rookies in (even top 10 picks like Taylor and Rogers) and the fact that Holdman has looked genuinely good so far, I don't think we'll see Rocky starting this year unless someone gets hurt.
He may have been our team's first pick but he was still just a 2nd rounder. Hopefully he can mature, learn the scheme, and be a full time starter next season.

Rocky will play some in passing situations and on Special teams. He did not show much in the last 2 games.

I don't care who starts as long as someone will start covering people slipping out of the backfield. Hopefully, when this team send the blitz someone is covering the middle of the field. The Pats and Ravens may have shown everyone how to beet GWs defense. Hopefully that won't be a problem when real bullets are flying!
On I side note. Do you think that we could trade AA for Ryan Clark, straight up. AA might have to blitz on every down, because he couldn't cover a statue of an NFL player let alone Terry Glenn, Donte Stallworth (I didn't see anyone talk about him on the Eagles), or Jerremy Shockey!

He will be starting by mid-season and I will be wearing his jersey in his first career start.

Rocky will be in FULL TIME if and when Holdman gets ijured or goes back to his old ways to play against the run.
Holdman is playing not only for a spot as a starter, he is playing for his active career as a player. He knows that, thus the recent sense of urgency in his game.

He led the team in tackles in the 4th game.

It seems that he's in on every tackle on kick off coverage. He has a lot of speed too.
Can't wait to see this guy start.

He's gotten some snaps in practice... if he was showing something better than Holdman, then I don't know what they've been waiting for... if he hasn't looked any worse than Holdman then you'd think he'd get time just for the sake of experience... I can only conclude that Holdman has looked better in practice than Rocky... either that or this coaching staff is really really conservative and afraid of taking risks regardless of potential...

He should have beaten Apollo Creed the first time. Big loser.

Not to mention the fact that he's returning punts and kickoffs.
