This link is to the most ridiculous story I've seen. According to Collinsworth we won't make the playoffs because Campbell has been stinking it up n preseason.

This guy is a joke. I cannot stand him!!

Not only does he say that Campbell is struggling in preseason, he says that Todd Collins has been out performing him.

What an absolute idiot.

Has he actually watched any of our games. If he did he must have been high. Campbell has done far better this preseason than Collins. In my book he is the No. 2 QB

I have never cared much about what Collinsworth has to say anyway. He is the Mister Rogers of NFL analyst.

Actually, he says the Redskins can't make the playoffs should Brunell go down. Don't confuse that with him saying the Redskins can't make the playoffs at all.

And while we have seen some good things from Campbell, the fact remains that he sports a 44.05 rating this preseason, even worse than Collins' 58.8. I'm as optimistic as the next guy, but to say that either Collins or Campbell have shown they can lead a team to playoffs is a bit ridiculous.

This is another example of a person who has never demonstrated that he has any more grasp of football than your average fan so I give his opinion just as much weight

What a bunch of nonsense in this thread!

Mr. Collisnworh is one of the most respected experts on NFL matters. His opinions and predictions are perhaps the only authoritative and accurate statements among a sea of conflicting, uninformed and amateur opinions from wannabes like yourselves.

I sincerely believe you guys are envious of the breadth and scope of his knowledge. That is why you read him.

I, on the other hand, have such devotion and admiration for him that I do not need to read or listen to him ever again to be reminded of it.

Learn your lesson children, quickly please.

Collinsworth is actually decent compared to Peter King and some others. In addition, he is simply saying that we would not make the playoffs with our backup situation. As I look at the polls on Washington Post, THN and Redskins.com, most agree that our quarterback situation is our biggest concern, so I am not sure what the fuss is about. Frankly, I think Collinsworth is close to the mark.

Sorry RIC, didn't realize you were being sarcastic.

As for Collinsworth The guy is a moron ex Bengal wideout who's spent most of his time on an HBO football show playing second fiddle to Dan Marino and Jerry Glanville among others. To call him an expert is like saying Terrell Owens is an expert, or Maurice Clarrett has "authoritative and accurate" statements.

Gibbs4Life, read his post again. I think the term used to best describe RIC's post would be "dripping with Sarcasm".

Hey Redskins in Canada, how long have you been sleeping w/Collinsworth? The guy is a moron ex Bengal wideout who's spent most of his time on an HBO football show playing second fiddle to Dan Marino and Jerry Glanville among others. To call him an expert is like saying Terrell Owens is an expert, or Maurice Clarrett has "authoritative and accurate" statements. How can you be a "Hog" and believe this neverhasbeeen's banter?

Better check that sarcasm detector, chief.

It is ME who would have been brain dead if the punch line would not have been typed at the end.

Seriously, I do not read him due to the kind of respect and admiration I have for him: NONE.
