Has anybody seen him make a real impact yet, or Archleta for that matter. I know its only preseason but you know where Washington is and you see Taylor but nothing from those two

Archuletta had a sack against the Jets.

These guys are going to be ready when we play the Vikings. Don't worry about the defense.

Yes! Although it may or may not be to the extent some may have hoped.

1. Its too freaking early to judge him. Wait till March of 2007.

2. In man situations we haven't not see him do much.

3. He has freed up the blitz. Do you remeber how for the past 2 years or blitzes have been getting picked up? Now think to the 2 previous games and how our blitzes have gotten to the QB.

4. Be patient, its still a new scheme to him.

It will require a double-team to block him in pass protection. This will free-up other pass rushers and it will take away a passing option when a TE or back has to stay in to help block him.

Ok I'm not sure but I think this is proof that he made 'some' impact.

And just in case you were sure.

As far as Andre' goes, I think he's got a little more of a hard time standing out. He's not getting as much time on the field as Archuleta.

It's preseason. Williams is playing a vanilla D. When the games count you will see a much more agressive Skins D (blitzes, stunts, shifts, etc.).

With Sean Springs out, Greg Williams needs to get a long look at our young DBs. He already knows that Archuletta can play at a high level in the NFL. Archuletta is not known as a great pass defender but he is very good at stopping the run and rushing the QB. You can tell pretty fast if a guy still has those skills or not, but our young DBs need time on the field inorder to be ready for the start of the season.
