Swap Rock and Sellers

Just having fun here...

Let Cartwright put his 10-15 pounds back on and go back to starting fullback. Meanwhile Sellers gets more carries as the change of pace and short-yardage running back.

I'm not sure where Betts would fit in, but I think Portis/Sellers makes a more formidable duo than Portis/Betts. Quick slashing CP followed by 270 pounds with a head of steam.

Discuss!

I always liked rock better at FB. I don't see Sellers as an every down player, more of a short yardage specialist.

Sellers sure looked good on Saturday night. The Redskins version of Jerome Bettis.

Nah, that was another big guy, not Sellers. I wanna say Derrick Dockery. Anyone remember?

Either way, Big Mike can certainly fill a void (pun intended).

Does anyone know who the Skins were playing in that game?

Im 100% in support of Sellers running the ball more often. He strikes fear into DBs!

I betcha ol'boy Al Saunders uses Sellers as FB. Doesnt make too much sense not use him!! Unless he has a case of the Tiki's!

Put him in at weak side linebacker, too. He's the man.

Sellers ran the ball on three straight plays saturday night.

I'm sure him and Betts will get even more actiong this year.

glad someone mentioned this, i was thinking the same thing on sunday... rock has just looked slow and ineffective so far in preseason... sellers might have just looked better because he was playing backups, but they should put him in earlier next time and see. so far he definitely looks like a better option.

Sellers has a Fighters mentality, not a RB's or a FB's, simply a fighter.

Sellers ought to be an every down running fullback. His getting more carries would give Portis a break without taking him out of the game.

Interesting: We've acquired receivers to make defenses honest coverying Moss. Sellers as a runner at FB, as well as a blocker, would keep defenses from cheating on Portis.

I don't think Sellers got lucky last week.

Career: 2 carries for 3 yds. There is probably a reason he hasn't had more carries.

One of those two carries went for a TD. He could not have gotten any more yards.

True. The other carry was for 2 yds. There has to be a reason why, in all the yrs he has played in the NFL, he has only carried the ball twice. All his coaches can't be that wrong.
