Okay, after some people were asking about it, I created a THN Fantasy Football league on ESPN. You'll also need to set up a (free) ESPN user name.

16 Teams.
Auto Draft is scheduled for August 29th so you'll have to rank your players.

Note, if the 16-teams fills up soon and there is more interest, I can expand it to as high as 20 teams. We'll see what happens.

Oops! When I try to accept the invitation I get a "Invite does not exist in LeagueMember." error.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

When attempting to join, you may get an error message: "Invite does not exist in LeagueMember."

I'm looking in to that now.

I'm thinking that I may have to send you a personal invitation via e-mail (rather than post this link on this thread.) I'm testing that theory out now with Chaddukes. If that works, I'll let y'all know.

Yes, that was the key. I'm in now, but I had to respond to the link from my e-mail account.

Thanks, for working that out so quickly! I'll be leaving for Europe tommorrow and everyone knows that they don't have computers there. So, I might not have been able to participate if you hadn't had reacted quickly.

Okay folks.

Here's what I did, I looked through a lot of the users out there to ascertain whether they had an e-mail listed. If they did, I sent them an invitation to join our Fantasy Football League.

Sorry to pass JH but I'm already in a FF league on NFL.com. I can't handle more than one team.

Well I hope the board's members aren't being solicited to join this league like I am.... I got SEVEN invitations to join the league.

Please don't ANYBODY solicit this board for ANYTHING without my permission. There's a thread posted... that'll have to do. My apologies to any board members who received this same 'invitation' email, it did NOT come from theHogs.net or with my knowledge and/or approval.

Folks, in the future, if you want to start a league etc... feel free... but don't EVER use the site's name as though it was a sanctioned project... and don't solicit board members to join... it is a DIRECT violation of our rules and regulations.

2. Spam (multiple copies in one area or the same communication in multiple areas) or advertising/commercial solicitation messages are prohibited including links to commercial sites. Please do not post links to sites who sell things unless they are a current sponsor of TheHogs.net.

Also, do not use this forum to promote any other web site or solicit the members of this board without the approval of the moderator(s).

That rule applies to everyone. I understand that only certain people were PMed and that's all good... I just thought a general public statement on the subject was in order.

I'm really sorry about that BossHog, really.

Every time I add a new person, I check the button to "Send invitation to new owners only" and it looks like I am re-sending the same invitation to everyone over and over and over and over again.

Again, I am sorry about that.

Maybe I'll just delete everyone's name so that won't happen.

I dunno.

Oh, and my apologies for using the THN name for the fantasy football league. It was not intended to suggest that THN sanctioned the league....only to identify it to THN members.

Follow up:: I just deleted the names of all of the folks I initially invited so, hopefully, you won't continue to be blasted with the invites. I feel bad about that. Once again, my apologies.
