Okay, I'm going to ask y'all a question. Try to put your "Homer" hat on the shelf for this one and do your best to try to give me a non-biased answer to this question.

What do you think the Redskins chances are of WINNING the next Super Bowl?

It's all on the QB.

QB and injuries.

Exactly. I consider them a strong legitimate SB contender, but a couple of bad breaks (literally and figuratively) during the regular season could really send the season south.

That describes every team in the NFL.

I don't think so. Most teams could only make the Superbowl in their dreams. I tdoes describe the best teams.

They have a good chance for sure. Injuries can blow any team out of the water, but a fit Redskins team has a legitimate shot. My only concern is injuries, and whether Saunders' complex offence might cause problems in the first year.

I'd be doing a disservice to "The Bandwagon" by putting my Homer hat to one side. Sorry.

However to answer the question: "Redskins - Super Bowl Chapions in 2007?"

Here's my answer: Yes, and in 2008, 2009, and 2010!!!!

I wasn't saying that every team is SB bound. Every team would do better if 100% healthy. Injuries effect even the worst teams negatively. Sure the 9ers may lose every game but if they were 100% healthy, maybe they would have won one.

The team who wants it the most will win it, and I bleive the Skins are the hungriest team out there. The team is building a juggernaut that will steamroll the competition for the rest of this decade!!!

I love it! Nice post Redeeeeeeeem!

Now I had to go with 80%. Were favorites and will remain that way. QB situation holds up and we are 100%. Not bad odds at all. Something I can certainly deal with after waiting so long. HAIL.

Uh, sure. Like the 49ers, Lions, Saints, or Texans are "legitimate SB contenders". Half the teams in the league would just be thrilled to make the playoffs, let alone the SB.

i think it is the offense totally it being new and all ....if we get to clicking in the first few games and continue to improve offensively and our defense plays even par we are just as good as an other team in the nfc if not the best.

I agree that our team is hungry, but it has more to do with respect. I think we earned that respect last year. now it's time to make the push. We've come a long way in just a couple of years. What a difference a coach makes!

However, this poll is conjecture, and anything can happen between now and week 16. I do believe they have a good chance, but for now anyone's guess is as good as mine. Hail to the Redskins!

I really think this years team has every piece in place to make a run for the Super Bowl. What this team has over every other contender is the best, most experienced coaching staff in the NFL. Not only that, the only significant player they lost from last years team was Lavar, but the addition of Carter and Archuletta and drafting McIntosh will fil lthat void. Our offense will #1 in the league and i say that without hesitation. We have one of the deepest back fields and talented receiving cores in the league.

We should all have big aspirations for this season.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Lavar was pretty insignificant last year, so losing him won't hurt us as all. My 2 cents

I'm going to go out on the same limb and say "never, never, unless you are a comedian like Kornheiser, predict a Super Bowl for the Redskins". Not until they win the NFC Championship.

Just ask Mr. Gibbs. He always used to look as if someone had said the worst possible thing when they predicted Super Bowls. Part of the humor of Kornheoser's old "Bandwagon" comuns came from Tony K trying to get Gibbs to admit to even the least bit of confidence in the team.

It was always: "Those Falcons sure scare me because they have a lot to prove after the last game" [Rough quote before first playoff in january, 1992. Redskins had beaten the Falcons about 99 - 0, and went on to slaughter the birdies in the mud at RFK].

Same thing with the Lions ["They have a lot to prove etc". Mr. Charles Mann ended the game on the first play from scrimmage when he brushed past Bary Sanders and annihilated QB Eric Kramer, forced a fumble that the Redskins turned into a TD].

nothing can happen in 16 weeks that will change this team enough to move it out of SB contention.

we are a bad ass group with high aspirations and the greatest at the helm.. whos gonna mess with us?
