"Will this offseason's free-agent spending spree be the one that finally pays off for the Redskins?"

I'm sorry. I guess in 2004 when we signed Springs, Washington, and Griffith didn't pay off for us. I suppose adding Portis, Taylor, and Cooley that same year didn't make that an offseason that paid off?

I simply can't believe that the Cowboys are listed at #7 simply because they signed TO. Who do they really have to block opposing teams from getting to the QB? The QB has to be standing to get the ball to TO, right?

Rediculous.

I want us to be ranked last. Lets start the year with a chip on our shoulder.

im surprised that the eagles arnt higher.. they say TO leaving will be bad but i think it will improve their team..

TO going to dallas could be a blessing or a curse.. i think our whole division is close at like 10 in the rankings..

Philla lacks good speed players on offence. Dallas lacks a good O-line. I think that should drop them below us.

Ranking the cowboys #7 is crazy. If you asked me, the giants deserve that #7 spot. they were one of the most underated teams in the playoffs last year and they still don't earn any respect. cowboys team is a joke. their QB is old and worn out and having a weak line doesnt help their situation either. but im glad the skins finally get some respect even if it is only the offseason.

I couldn't agree more Kadskin. I was irritated that the Cowboys were ranked ahead of us. (Didn't we beat them TWICE last year??) But the Giants should be equally ticked. Good stuff though.

I think the Eagles are living off a (well deserved) reputation. Two bad years in a row should dispel that.

last time I checked those players made a heck of a difference on our squad and helped build a better
foundation for us to soon reach the superbowl.

I dunno the way I see it, the year we win the superbowl, is the year those players made a notworthy difference.

So....Dan Marino was not noteworthy because he never won a superbowl? Peyton Manning isn't noteworthy unless he has a ring. Joe Gibbs 2nd tenure isn't noteworthy unless he wins a ring?

The Superbowl is the main object but it does NOT mean everything.

What he is saying is, it takes time to build a SB team. Those guys were the foundation. Last, season's low profile off-season was not the reason for the four game turnaround. Finally, we seem to have all of the pieces in place.

No, not at all. I just thought when they were refrencing pieces they meant finally it would amount to a superbowl, in terms of the power rankings comment, thats all. I mnean we had a great team last year, and the skins have been steadily improving so naturally they added pieces have helped.

You'd never find two hacks that would come up with identical rankings, folks. At the end of the day, it's just one person's opinion, and should be regarded that way.
It's no big deal. Frankly, I find it terrifying that some of the younger guys on the team might read too much into it.
You could have nine people rank the Constitutional Amendments in order of importance and get nine different lists.
It's just people.
