I just don't see that happening. I could see Taylor Jacobs gone though.

I second that!

I think that would be a dumb move, especially with all the redundancy talk at that position.

....and the rumors start all over again. Gotta love football boredom. Lets see trade a man that was on par for a break out season until he got hurt and keep someone who could not catch anything? Na...I can't see that happening.

I don't think you can say he was on par for a "breakout" season. He had been a productive receiver with NE for years. He definitely is coming off a bad yr. With the signings of Lloyd & Randle, he's now the #4 WR. Hardly indispensible. We have 13 WR's on roster & probably 5 spots. If some of our young WR's have impressed the coaches, it would make sense to move Patten.

Limited roll, large salary.

We will only let him go if some of the younger guys are better. We don't need to do it for any financial reasons.

Who said anything about keeping Jacobs. we have 13 WR's on roster right now. Trade Patten & cut Jacobs leaves 11. We will probably keep 5.

we will never trade him, at least not this year. i bet he is going to be a TD machine from 30 yards out.. you heard it hear first! dont forget

The only time we's likely to play is when another WR needs a breather or 4 WR sets.

With all the recievers in camp hed be 3rd or 4th at best. We could get a decent round pick for him im sure.

I must've missed that part of the season, because all I saw was a guy who couldn't get decent separation, and didn't make great RAC yardage anyway.
I certainly didn't miss the part where he said that he was forced to go on IR, and "who knows how far we could have gone if I was in there".

I like Patten and hope he's on the team next year. He will need to play ST's though. I also hope we keep Thrash. He works so hard for us. If he gets cut then I don't think I know anything about football.

I think we will keeo Thrash because he's good on ST. I don't recall Patten contributing much there. If you don't start & aren't a QB, you'd better be good on ST.

thrash is a redskin for life ....his ST skills are nasty

The only way there is any substance behind this rumor is if Patten asked for it. He doesn't seem like that type of guy to me, but he did come here with the sole intent of proving he can be a goto guy, and he won't likely have that chance.

To trade Patton would be crazy. Jacobs sucks. And what about injuries two are golden boys, Patton would be the best third we have if that happen GOD forbid. Go Skins

Exactly what I said. To get rid of a productive WR when our whole offseason has been about redundancy to that position would be retarded.

Patten will only be the 4th WR. Moss, Lloyd & Randle El are ahead of him. I think we'll kaap Thrash for ST. I'm sure we can find 1 of the remaining 7 WR's (if we should trade Parren & cut Jacobs) who can play football. Preferably 1 who can help on ST.
