Favorite Undrafted Prospects

The Redskins certainly have a lot of undrafted prospects to consider in the upcoming months. Of those undrafted persons that are being considered by the Redskins, which is the one that you REALLY hope makes the team?

Spencer Havner.

It's Havner for me too - I think he could be a real bonus for us. Nearly went for Lonie, but I'm not sure if I could stand one developmental project being replaced by another at punter.

By the way, I think I read that Ononibiaku had been released on Friday.

Havner...this guy could be a stud...anyone remember Kurt Gouveia...not a great athlete, but had knack for the game and a nose for the ball. I think Havner might fit that mold as an LB.

Yeah I remember Gouveia well. Had a great game in Superbowl XX if memory serves. Remember Monte Coleman? I have a little nerf football signed by him somewhere.

Havner. He could have been drafted. Hopefully he'll turn out to be a big player in the NFL unlike how my boy Clifton Smith ended up.

I AM SAYING IT AND CALLING IT RIGHT NOW HANVER WILL NOT MAKE THE TEAM

he was a pac 10 lb., his playing style doesnt fit into greg williams ultra agressive defense, he is a read and react guy , he as good straight line speed, but his hip are stiff and he cant change directtion very well

i believe he wil lmake the practice square at the most.

I'm asuming you aren't rooting for him :)

Hits hard to root for one guy over another when they are all "Redskins" but I want to see Punter David Lonie, RB Jesse Lumsden, and LB Spencer Havner to do well.

I can't understand why Havner wasn't drafted

i thinkspencer hanver is the most overrated player in the Redskins camp this weekend.

I like Havner a lot, but what about Manaia Brown & Chijioke Onyenegecha? It's possible that all 3 could make the roster, or at least the practice squad.

Just in case you didn't know what sort of player Gibbs and the Redskins are looking for in these undrafted free agents, Gregg Williams spells it out here:

We don't hear much from Williams, but when he does speak, he certainly hits the nail on the head.

Ortega and Lumsden. However, Havner is more likely to make the team due to the open competition in the line backing core. Lumsden will have a tough time making it with Betts and Portis and Cartwright a solid special teamer.

After seeing some video on Lumsden, and seeing just how fast that kid is, I am really hoping he finds a way to make this team on special teams.

I think there is 1 opening at RB. We will probably carry 3 & I think Cartwright will be the starting FB.
