NFC East

Philly picks up Bunkley DT and Justice OT. Dallas picks up Bobby Carpenter, a guy very high on the Giants wish list. Giants, set with 22 starters already, pick up a DE to replace Michael Strahan in the long run and Sinorice Moss to replace Amani Toomer in the long run. Man, the NFC East is gonna be a war this year. Parcells wants the whole thing now. Reid needs a WR and he's in business again. These teams are stocked with talent and ready to fight it out.

I hate to say it but I think Philthy had the best (and luckiest) draft in the NFC East. Yes, the NFC East is back at the top.

Saying the Giants are set with 22 starters before the draft is well...

No question the NFC East will be tough but I really think it will be between the pukes and the Skins and the other 2 will be better but that will not be enough this year. The ny schedule is so brutal that they will be gasping after the first 8 games.

Could this signal the end for Shockey???
To bad he's now a Gint, but, if he makes it in the NFL, it will make for a good story for a "local".

No offense elchaje, but I didn't like your draft. I don't know why you would spend your first two picks on a defensive end and a wide reciever when your secondary and o-line needed the most attention.

Same reason we didn't go OLine until the late rounds.
We stuck to our draft board and took what we considered the best player available at every opportunity.
Strahan's not getting any younger in NY, either. Ditto Amani Toomer.
But Kiwi's just another glorified rush end while Moss is definitely not his brother.

Exactly, that's the point. If you're not going to fill your needs than at least take the
best available player!
There were many better players available other than a string bean DE with only one move and a WR who only got drafted in the second round because his brother is a good player (but then again this is the same rational they used to draft their QB).

To THEM he was the BPA though.
Every team's got a different board. People thought we were nuts for taking Hatcher in 3. Jeff Ireland came right out and said that the guy is not a project and he can make an immediate impact.
