11 a.m. ET on Friday for a LIVE media briefing on the NFL Draft with Daniel M. Snyder, Joe Gibbs and Vinny Cerrato.

It will be interesting to hear a few insight stories. They will be careful not to show their cards, particularly Joe.

Has Larry hyped this up to be some kind of special-announcement-type-thing or will it just be a standard, "we'll draft the best player" deal?

The recorded session is already there. As expected, they said a lot about not much.
Joe said we do not need a receiver. As if that was not obvious.
Joe praised the scouts for a great job. Apparently they found some hidden gems in small schools. He recalled the story about Clint Didier.
Vinny highlighted CB as a position deep in the draft. They did not mention(almost on purpose) the LB position.
Joe emphasised the existence of very good players at the bottom rounds (5th and lower) in this draft in particular. He emphasised the existence and importance of small school no-big-name players who could be stand outs. This was the most interesting point madeby Joe if you read between the lines.
Joe did not rule out moving up or down in the draft.
The key to this brief was -not- to show our real intentions and ... they succeeded
