Lavar's comments on the Skins

I was just watching sportscenter and they had an interview with Lavar. He said that the focus of the Giants was football not other things like in Washington.
Said that the reason he didn't play much last year was he wasn't good enough and he'll show Washington if he is good enough to play.......and any other team.
This guy is really upset at us and I'm not sure why. It just seems that he is very stubborn and not willing to adapt to GW's defense. That may have something to do with the fact that we went through D-Cord's like I go through emails but still that's no excuse.
I wish him good luck but not against us.

He'll need a lot more than luck against us...

Why wish him luck? The guy was nothing but a cancer to our team and now plays for an already good team in out division.

Cancer to our team? Wow. That's just too harsh. Lavar wasn't a cancer to our team, IMO. I really thought he tried to be a team player.
It just didn't work out.

I don't think he is mad at the Skins I think he is mad at the situation that he is now coming out of. If he was mad at the Skins he would have blamed his not playing on the coaching staff or the team politics instead of saying something along the lines of his lack of playing time was due to his play. As far as the Skins not being focused on football that may have been true a few years ago but not anymore. After Gibbs returned alot of things changed, the team focus for one and Lavar's stature with team to name 2.

Because he gave everything he had to the team when he was with us, and because he's a stand up guy. Hes not a cocky arrogant ass. And i give hime much love and respect for that among MANY others.

He's not a skin anymore so lets just get over him and move on. He's a g-girl now and that means he's our enemy.

I don't like to refer people as a cancer, but I do agree the guy was a pain in the rear.

Yeah, he gave everything he had alright. He took us to court over 6.5 million dollars, then he called Dan Snyder a thief, a liar and the devil. Its about time they got rid of him

He gave all he had when he was here... he didn't alway be where he should have been but it wasn't because he wasn't trying. Plus he was always there for the fans (even when he wasn't there for his teammates)

He never went to court it was a arbertration and he was taking the word of his agents... What was he suppose to do? The only mistake he made was hiring those brothers. Further proof was when they told him he could give back $4.4M and come out with $14M+ in the end.
If you thought someone had took over $6M from you what would you call them? He agreed to sit down and find out what happen (knowing or should have known he was going to get the short end).
I bashed Lavar when it was called for and I supported him as a Redskin but like CLL said he ain't one now so, So be it.
If you are going to bash him... have a reason

LaVar deserves better than this crap. For years he was the lone bright spot on a team struggling to find an identity. Once Joe came back the team was the most important thing and Joe is the face of the team. Did Joe & GW railroad him out of town? Sure they did. You can't tell me THESE coaches could not find a way to use LaVar effectively. I think they recognized that LaVar had received a contract from his then good friend Danny S. that would hamstring the team well into the future. They made LaVar want to leave. Look what cutting LaVar did for the cap. Five new players, at least 3 should expect to start. It was a terrible thing that happened to LaVar but it
had to be done. The Skins better strap up when LaVar lines up against them. He has a major score to settle at least in his mind and that is all he needs. LaVar had been my favorite player for the past 5 years. I will still be a fan but not on 10/8 or 12/30. Thanks for the fun LaVar, thanks for the awesome K.O. of Troy. I'll miss those big plays, but not the big mistakes. Don't worry Sean Taylor will step right in as our big time guy and my new favorite player.

Letting go of Lavar was a huge mistake. Allthough he is gone now Joe seems too never like having a superstar caliber player. In all the teams past and present Joe has always opted for med to good players playing as a team. Which is a SuperBowl winning formula I just wish he could have fit Arrington into the mix. I dont have any negatives against Arrington and wish him well just not against us. You guys are kidding if you dont think its going to be a tough game against the Giants who now have two new linebackers to bolster theyre already decent Defense not to mention they have two of the best D ends in the league. It is not going to be easy running on the Giants we all know Lavar is a beast. Well the Lavar era is over now how do you get over losing a Superstar player go draft another one. My wishlist anyone of these guys will do. Manny Lawson , Antonio Cromartie, Mathus Kiwaniku, Or just draft best possible athlete available.

Lavarr said he doesn't understand how he got the rap of being a freelancer. Oh my God. If he wasn't a freelancer there has never been one. Don't get me wrong i liked Lavarr.
But come on dude. Don't you have to watch films of the games that you just played in. He overran plays like no other. He was a beast, a presence to be reckoned with but definitely not always within the sceme of the defense. I think when the Skins play the G-men, that the skins will exploit his over aggressiveness. That will mean a good day for Clinton...Hey just my honest opinion...

Why would he wacth film of a game he just played in?
That would be like....
Watching film of the team you play this week. Who's gonna pay him that much?

I've been wrong all these years. Lavar IS NOT A FREELANCER, Lavar uses instinct and hasn't quite mastered it yet. It's not freelancing, it's Lavar trying to compete on a whole 'NOTHR level and we just don't understand it yet. Our grandkids are going to love the old clips of Lavar overrunnig plays, blitzing as the the ballcarrier scoots past him, and his forgetting he was suppose to cover the flat.
Lavar will start watching film of the last game he played right around the time he starts watching film on the upcoming opponent.

Lavar is going to be trying so hard to reach his contract incentives, that he will probably hurt the Giants D all year.
Also Salsibury Steak was all over Lavars nuts, talking about how he will play the best football of his career(which can't be good for Lavar because that guy is always wrong).
Then Mort pretty much said he couldn't play within 2 great D Coorinaters systems, so that won't change.

"Mr. Nickels" had 11 sacks under M.Lewis.

That's what Mort said.
Why did you call him "Mr. Nickels?"
And what good are 11 sacks when you give up 22 big plays?

He jokingly called himself Mr. Nickels because he is wearing #55. Alan Horton & Michael Westbrook asked him on NFL Total Access about the #56 in NY. He said, "No, I'll steer clear of that." He said he wore 56 in D.C. because 5+6=11.
If even two of those sacks cause a fumble, a pick, or knock out the QB. Yeah, I'll take it. If he was such a bad player how the heck did he make the Probowl 3 straight years? The guy is a highlight reel. The more I think about it the more I dislike the fact that he plays for the crap Giants. My last memory of LaVar in a ‘Skins uniform is him knocking out Shaun Alexander in the playoffs.

Yeah that was one of the biggest hits I've ever seen.

I'll take a Lemar Marshall over "highlight reel" any day.
How good were the Redskins when he made those probowls?
LA has got to be the biggest ME player ever that doesn't play a "skill position."
The guy has all ready started doing his interviews and taking shots at the organization.
Who cares if LA was the only bright spot on this team?
He was everything that was wrong with it.
I don't understand how Redskins fans can root for the guy after the way he left.
I don't want him to get hurt or anything, but I hope he sucks so bad, that they cut him.

A Cancer? Lavar is one of the few players I have ever seen who WANTED to be a lifetime skin. He was not a locker room problem, and he was great in the community. If you think he is a cancer, then what about the rest of the team?

What would you do if you felt your boss short changed you on your paycheck? It wasn't personal, it was business.

So why didn't he take the issue up with his agent?
Even if the Skins truely tried to screw him out of money the problem is still with his agents. Clearly he doesn't read his contracts and neither does his agent, so what is he paying him for? Both him and Carl are retarded.
1. Lavar lied about the Skins stealing his money.
2. Lavar lied about the coaches rushing him back before he was ready (contradicting interviews)
3. Lavar consistently whined to the media all last season.
Bye bye Lavar.
