I will be in New York from Friday untill Wednesday May 3rd. I wanted to go check out the draft for a little bit, I have all day Saturday with no plans. Has anyone evey been and how does it work? can you buy a ticket? or is it free to view? I know we don't have a first round pick but I would still like to see and feel the excitement of the draft. Any insite would be appreciated.

I f you stay the whole draft....every single round, they will let you in for free.
I have freinds who sit there for hours but they are obsessed with the draft.

That seems kinda strange, the entire draft is like 2-3 days.

Is it still in MSG? Or did they move it to the Javits center? Anyways, I went down to the city for the Sean Taylor draft and had a great time! The only snafu was that it used to be free and all you had to do was wait for hours outside the Garden for them to hand out bracelets. Unfortunately, that was the first year that handed out tickets the day before. My friend (Jet's fan) and I had to buy 2 tickets off some dudes for $50.00 each.
It was fun! Got to boo Eli Manning and I sat maybe 40 ft away from Chris "He...could...go...all...the...way!" Berman. Enjoy!

Well, I'm not paying $50. a ticket, if the skins had a real low draft pick them maybe. I just wanted to go waste a couple of hours. I'm just gonna walk around there and see if I can somehow get in and if not no big deal.

I would rather spend the money going to Virgil Ribs on 44th Street between 6th and 7th avenue. If you like down south (mouth-melting) barbecue and beer, that is. $50 bucks will more than cover you with a full rib rack to be divided between you and a companion.
Do not ask for hot if you can not really handle it (they mean it). The mild flavour has a smokey bourbon smell and flavour that is making me hungry right now.

Thanks for the info, I will go check it out. That sounds like a better time then the draft. but, hopefully I can find a way into the draft for free.

Well, I found the info about how it works if you ever want to go to the draft. Here is the link if anyone is interested. I will be there to check it out, I just wish we had a low pick.
