Doesnt it sound like this guy just hates us? Read what he said about us out loud and just listen to how it sounds...
They spent and spent and spent some more. What else is new? So what did they get? A receiver (Randle-El) who had 35 catches last year, a tight end (Christian Fauria) who won't scare people down the field, a safety (Adam Archuleta) who is a liability in coverage, another receiver (Brandon Lloyd) from a team in need of them yet was willing to trade him and a defensive end (Andre Carter) who has yet to live up to the hype.
You can have an opinion, but he seems like he's attacking us any chance he gets.
prick.

That is nuts

We should make a New Season's Resolution to just ignore ranking this year. Every season we get all worked up about it. Who cares where you're ranked if you made it to the second round of the playoffs...

Didn't you people learn from last year? SI picked the skins to go 4-12, and the Cardinals to make the playoffs, and look what happened.

The last thing you want is respect from the media - it's the kiss of death!

Hey man... you guys dont have to remind me... You know i've been here long enough to see that they consitently give us no respect. But I still get urked by it, I mean what do you have to do get an ounce of positive feeback from this guy?

But of all the various and totally baseless measures of a team out there, I think "power rankings" are utterly devoid of merit. For example, here are my NBA power rankings:
1. Atlanta
2. Chicago
26. Detroit
27. San Antonio
It's totally meaningless, some random person's unavoidably and inherently biased perspective on the relative "strength" of a team. Some of these have more value because people actually assign formulas to them but as for the power rankings compiled by Joe Schmoe columnist who spent 30 minutes watching Sports Center? They aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

He's an idiot. Without any of these additions we were a top 10 team at least. Now we have significantly upgraded all of our weaknesses. We are without a doubt one of the favorites in the NFC.

It's Pete Prisco, ignore it. Prisco has hatred for the Redskins of a Pasquerellian nature.

I think is is good news for us, I hope all off season we get no respect. Teams will start believing that and take us to lightly.

Who cares? I mean, does anything these guys say mean anything? Are we trying to prove something here?
This is an opinion! Do you think he knows what he is writing about? Really?
Okay so that is settled - next!
Anyone who gets upset or excited about people who know next to nothing about what they are writing about are no better than those writers or prognosticators, IMO
fugedaboutit! just play the game!
there is no way we do not win the NFC East, this year!

Just as long as we don't start believing it. I don't think we will...and that begins with the coaching.

He also calls T.O. a "great" pickup for Dallas, so consider the source.

Is there an echo in here?

They seem as though they are trying to imply that we spend more money than anyone else. Like they are trying to make us out to be the yankees of the NFL. We have a cap just like everyone else. You will see thier tone change about half way through the season.

Thanks Fios - I needed a reality check. I just cannot stand these "predictions" by some of these very biased guys and "the devil made me do it"! -
what can I say? - sorry!

By the way! This just in - the Washington Redskins will have the best record in the NFC East. The sources wanted to remain annoymous as they are all associated with other NFC East teams.

What I don't understand is why various media bash the Lloyd and Randle El signings as if we are asking those guys to come in and be #1 and #2. Those guys were not necessarily signed for what they will produce but what for they will allow guys like Moss,

ey and Portis to do by virtue of occupying defenders.
As far as the big bonus (thus guaranteed $) money is concerned, the Skins write those checks
because they can.
Prisco is a jackass.

Randle El was the medias darling until he signed with the Skins. Lloyd has consistently had a bad rap but even his outlook would have been painted differently by the media if he hadn't signed here. His future would have read more like "Lloyd gets oppurtunity to start fresh, teamX gets a gem".
These guys will come here and produce will for us.
They will help lift this team to the next plateau.
We may or may not get further than we did last season.
They will get snubbed for any/all recognition unless it's something blantantly obvious.
Their presecence on the team will be downplayed.
Please sit back and wait for the "ball hawk rumours/unrest among WR corps" articles which are soon to come down the pipe.

People will start respecting Lloyds ability in week 2... Like I said before, I followed this kid, he is quick and grabs uncatchable receptions.
