Question about S. Moss interview on www.redskins.com

Moss mentions that he invited DP to hooters but he declined. Larry Michael sounds like he says "he is straight...?" They were both laughing so it was muffled.
Please tell me he didn't say that.
Then he asked S. Moss if someone delivered a bomb to him at redskins park.

I don't think he was talking about straight that way, he was taling about how Christian he is. At least that is what I gathered from it.

Its impossible to rewind and I was listening for 8 minutes to hear it again. LM says some dumb stuff out of his mouth sometimes though.
"Is that gangster rap?"

Eh, that's debatable.
More than just being religious, I think it has a lot to do with him fulfilling his committment to love, honor, and cherish his wife, Galiena, and be a good role model to his three sons, Daquan, Quintin and David.
Those vows ain't no joke, and it takes a man to fulfill them.

Why can't you do all those things and still eat some frickin hot wings at Hooters?
I mean, they wear shorts and tank tops...you can see that on the street, or on TV. Let's not carry religion to absurdity. Are you saying that a married man who goes to Hooters is not fulfilling his vows.
Can you love and eat wings at the same time? Yes
Can you honor and eat wings at the same time? Yes
Can you cherish and eat wings at the same time? Yes
Can you stare at some 19 year old's D cups and eat wings and still do all of these things?

okay, debatable.
But the point is, eating at Hooters doesn't make you a sinner. Just seeing women doesn't make you a sinner. If you have to quarantine yourself from women to keep from lusting after them or committing adultery, then the problem lies with the man, religion has nothing to do with that.

chooseing to not go to hooters and quarantining yourself from women is two different things. why go to hooters when you can get the same type of food at thousands of other places? the reason is to look at the girls. i think it is very honorable that he won't eat at hooters. i know i wouldn't want my daughter to work there, so that is reason enough for me to not go there.

I didn't like the wings, so I never went back.
If I'm going out to watch big breasted women.... It won't be to Hooters.

That's not the point really...
It's if you do decide to go there, whether it be for a birthday party or because co-workers are going, does that make you any less committed to your wife? NO. Does it make you a sinner? NO.
If you have to quarantine yourself from women to keep from lusting after them or committing adultery, then the problem lies with the man, religion has nothing to do with that.
very good point!
This has strayed way off topic, especially for HOGWASH, but I couldnt help expressing my opinion.
oh and...

nice.

My Wife and I both go to Hooters. There is nothing wrong with it. It depends on what your going there for if you look at it from a religeous standpoint. If your there to look at the ladies then thats a sin. If your there for the wings and beer well thats ok.

You have a right to choose not to go, that is honorable, but to make it appear that people go to Hooters just to look at women is wrong and misinformed.
I go to Hooters every once in a while because they have a type of wing thats different than most buffalo wings. They are like fried and then dipped in batter and wing sauce.
Also, the waitresses are on roller skates sometimes which means you get your food faster.
By the way...you need to get out more if you think Hooters is filled with scantily clad women with huge jugs. They wear orange shorts and a frickin tank top. Not all of them have big 'hooters' by the way.
Get over yourself please...not going to Hooters doesn't make one a saint, a better man or a better husband. It just makes you a dude who would rather have some teenager named "Alfonso" bring you your wings.
GET OUT MORE. The Redskins cheerleaders wear less clothes than that, I guess you should stop going to or watching the games then huh...?

Now YOU my friend are the man. I have been to Hooters with my girl. That shows that you have a healthy relationship. That is honorable.

You guys make valid arguments, and they certainly make a lot of sense, however, perhaps we should consider that Patten's wife (not Punu's or Hogster's) asked David NOT to go there. Patten chooses to honor his wife's request, thereby showing that he cherishes her, and comes across as loving her. Like I said before, it goes beyond religion.

I guess some of you just can't go near a beach then...
I thought this thread was about Santana Moss' interview though?

Here is what I have learned from this thread: Santana Moss wore a bikini during an interview at Hooters because David Patten's wife asked him to. And Jesus.
The end

That's 'cause you're so closed-minded. You need to expand your straw hole more.

That is too much. Hooters did not become the type of place it is because of the wings. The food there sucks. Even if you do go there because the wings are good

, the roller skating waitresses do not get your food to you faster. Hooters is for the atmosphere, that is it.
Now we can all choose our position on whether it is cheating or not and if a married man should or should not go, but if I go, I am looking at the women. If you say you aren't I call you out right now!!

Yeah, I am straight, and love the ladies... but Hooters is no good.
They have terrible food, at least at the ones I went to... so what's the point? It's like the victoria secret catalogue vs. "pron". Why stare at some girls clothed breasts when you could go to a strip club... or better yet, date someone who will show you hers whenever you like, lol.

Why are people acting as if David Patten
not going to Hooters is somehow an attack against them?
It does sound to me like Larry Michael asks if DP is straight, and it seems to me like he is joking about him being gay and not commenting on religion (for not going to Hooters).
(Get ready to kill the humor) The reason this is ironic is because Patten is married and probably isn't gay. (Add the stereotypes of big, manly football players here). Larry made a funny.
The whole religion thing is a side issue and probably the real reason that Patten didn't go to Hooters (or the clubs that Moss talks about). Guess what, some people have convictions and believe that it's immoral to go to strip clubs or even a Hooters. I'm not sure why anyone feels threatened by it, but. . .whatever. Worry about it if you want, I guess.
The best part of the interview, in my opinion, was hearing Larry Michael say "I hear dat." Ha!
And, by the way, did you see the size of Moss' arms? And to think that on TV he looks tiny compared to those linemen.

Amen, the wings are atrocious, as is most of the food there. I will go only because there is one close to me with lots of flat screens that show a variety of games. The women are attractive, to be sure, but I totally agree with the sentiment that if oggling women is my goal, strip clubs are better.
