Since our team is really taking shape for 2006, lets get everyones opinions on our impending match ups.

Colts - 50/50 - Their defense is suspect especially if you can stop Freeny/pass rush. Their secondary is overrated. With James gone and a DE we definately stand a good chance against their offense.

Texans - W - No explanation needed. ;)

Rams - W - Artichoke will show up on this game. Their RB is decent enough but cannt not run against us. The greatest show on turf is now a side act.

Sucs - 60/40 - The rilvary (?) will peak. Gruden will run off at the mouth and be laughed at again. Chris Simms will try to do too much in trying to make up for the playoff loss.

Saints - W - C'mon now...

Pukes - SWEEP - They suck and will continue to do so.

Giants - SWEEP - They'll need 2 more DB's. They got Madison for Moss but they weren't counting on 2 more WR's they can't cover.

Iggles - Sweep - They missed their boat and the flood water is rising. Westbrook is not a RB, he's a heavy WR. They dont have any WR's worth a darn now and we all know their defense isnt all that.

Titans - W- Mis Pacman will get abused.

Jags - 50/50 - Definately a good, underrated team.

Vikes - W - Brad Johnson? Fred Smoot? Im going to mark this one down. Fred Smoot will get exposed like never before.

Cats - 50/50 - Definately a good team and will make us work hard.

Falcons - W -Mike Vick is not a QB who can beat this defense, if we contain him he's going to throw picks. If we let him loose of course he'll have a chance. If he comes near Taylor we wont have to worry about him anymore.

The bandwagon is warming up, I tried to be partial but as the driver I can be blatantly homerish. Any given Sunday, yadda yadda yadda I know... This is just something to discuss and to keep you guys busy during a LONG offseason.

Home

Run the table

Away
Pukes - L (we can't sweep them 2 in a row, can we?)
Iggles - L (I just doubt we'll sweep them)
Girls - W (doubt they'll be any good. Tiki can't repeat)
Saints - W
TB Sucs - W
Rams - W
Texans - W
Colts - L (probably another good year for them)

Overall: 13-3

Overly optimistic? Perhaps. Homer picks? Quite likely.
Within the realm of possibility? Absolutely.

Off-topic, but I sort of expected this to be more of a free agency rundown for our pending opponents, which is a discussion I'd like to see...

I see us losing one division road game (hopefully not the Pukes, I think we can sweep them again) one game to one of the Cats (take your pick), a road game to the Bucs or Colts, and probably one game you would never expect us to lose.

I'll take 12-4!

I think 11-5 or 12-4. There are always games that "should" be won but are lost. Just look at the loss last year againt the Raiders. I also think it's kinda crazy to think that we are going to sweep our division. That is one of the toughest things to do and I see us losing 1 or 2 division games this season. Chris I also think that you are underrating the Eagles a little bit. They had a ton of injuries last season and they just added Darren Howard to their defense. I think that we will end up winning the division but it wont be anywhere near as easy as some people think. One thing that hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet is the qb situation. If the coaching staff decides to start Campbell or if Brunell gets hurt then our season could be a lot different.

16-0 regular season and all the Fins fans and ex-1972 players will start crying! 3-0 in the playoffs beating the Broncos in the SB!

11-5 or may be 12-4...losses to Cowboys, Eagles, Panthers, Indy, and may be Bucs

it's hard to imagine we're not at least 2 or 3 games better than last year. we could easily have won all but one game last year, but had critical breakdowns that cost us the game because they were so close. if we score one more touchdown a game we could easily go 15-1 or 16-0.

10-6 to play it safe but I think that we could really go 11-5. I think that New Orleans will be better than most people think as well as Houston. Its Indy I'm suspect about.

The ONLY game we outright lost imo was the 1st Giants game. That was a total collapse on both sides of the ball. Every other game was in reach of our offense last year but they often sputtered and died. If we can get more consistency from the offense this year we'll do fine. Mark Brunell almost has no excuse for not having somewhere to go with the ball.

I think 13-3 or 12-4. With the losses coming from Colts, Iggles and Bucs. The only reason I say we lose to the Bucs is because that's how the the recent seris with them has gone. We win they win, it's their turn. Still I feel real good about our chances next year.
