Moments after the Dolphins got Daunte Culpepper in a trade with the Vikings, free agent quarterback Drew Brees agreed to a six-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. Saints sources also said that since they are no longer in need of a quarterback, the team will now try to trade the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.
"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."
