I am a little concerned with the offense and it's ball distribution. I don't think we have a bunch of greedy ball-hogs but they are competative athletes and they all, I'm sure want to shine and make the big play. We have 3 studd WR, 2 good TE and a great RB and all of them want the ball I'm sure. Anybody else somewhat concerned or not?

No, thats a good thing. I don't know as much about loyd and el, but moss and portis have proven to be complete team players.

In the press conferences, Gibbs(I think it was him, maybe Vinny) mentioned how excited Moss and Portis were to get these guys.
Saying Portis must have called at least 5 times to see what was going on.

I think overall the guys on this team want to win.
And with all the "packages" we have, I'm sure they will get enough time and "balls".

I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out with Patten.
He seems like a team guy though, so will will see.

I'd say he was OK with one WR last season.

You might be saying that he doesn't look to other players though?
If that is your point, I agree with you.

I think the coaches will get the point across to the starting QB to spread the ball.

If we have a 8-2 (or better) record with 6 games left to play, we're not going to be hearing much from any "ball hogs." Everyone that signed with our team came here to win. (Or make lots of money. I don't know which.)

winning cures all... half the teams in the league have that problem...

I'm more concerned whether our starting QB (almost certainly Brunell) can finish the season. His last games were his worst games last year, and while I think JC has great talent and potential, how much confidence does anyone have in a 1st-year starter QB in the NFL?

The Redskins had Monk, Clark, and Sanders when they won in 1991, and they still got 500 rushing attempts, two 1,000 yard recievers (with 70 catches), 6 TD's from tight ends, a 1,000 yard rusher, like 19 rushing TD's and two RB who were involved in the passing game...

Now the 2006 Redskins may or may not be as awesome as those Redskins, but they'll have a lot of similar weapons.

Clinton Portis is a good back, he'll get most of the opportunities to score, and we won't need a big bruiser like Riggs to score 11 TD's. I expect Portis to have another big year.

For WR I think Moss and Lloyd will be the leading recievers. Moss is of course the big deep threat and Lloyd, while not a prototypical big target, can get tough yards. He can catch anything he gets a fingertip on.

I was upset at first about the ARE signing, but now I'm firmly behind it. He's not an expecially great reciever, but as a #3 he can do so many things. He can take a screen pass, he can actually make a tough catch over the middle, he can run a couple trick plays, he can return kicks (though he doesn't like it, he should do it anyway, he and Brown might be the best kickoff return team ever.) and he can return punts (which he loves, and is good at.)

Then there's Brunell, who is a smart and accurate QB. He was a little better than the middle of the pack in QB rating, but now, with all these new weapons he could put together a Pro-Bowl season before riding off into the sunset (I seem to remember we can release him after 3 years with no large cap hit.)

And with this offense, the defense (probably better than any we've seen recently) will be kept off the field as much as possible. They'll be well rested and be able to play at their peak all game long.

This is going to be a great season. Of course, no one can guarantee that we're going to the promised land, but IMO, we've got the makings of a mini-dynasty.

Brown is not an excellent player. I was a big fan of his....even though he messed up with fumbles and dropped passes. He is too inconsistent. I doubt he's going to make the cut. ARE will do the special teams duties..

nope not at all ...as long as we score points and win thats all that matters ..... moss will still be the main guy to throw to and portis will get his yards and as long as it all adds up to a win ...who cares who does what or how it gets done

We as fans don't, but I have a feeling BLloyd really does.

I think this also translates into nightmares for all the D-coordinators we're facing this season.

How do you defend against Moss' deep threat, Portis' run, Portis' draw plays, ey in the middle/short routes, and a screen to Moss on one side OR Randle El on the other?

Edit: Do all that with your #2 corner responsible for Lloyd the whole time.
