Redskins | Ramsey given permission to visit teams

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Washington Redskins have given QB Patrick Ramsey permission to visit the New York Jets, Detroit Lions and the Miami Dolphins as part of a possible trade. Ramsey will likely be traded within the next week for a draft choice in the second day of the NFL Draft.

I think he's be a good fit in Miami.

I wouldnt be suprised to see him stay here. I just don't know about Campbell and I'm thinking that if Brunell gets hurt where do we go. Does he have anything left. He was kind of a flat tire at the end of the year. Yes he did great for us but I think that training camp and the preseason will tell us a lot.

Drew Brees, Daunte Cullpepper, Chad Pennington all have bigger than Ramsey.

The Lions and Raiders are in the market and desparate, both are looking for a "gunslinger"

Jets are just looking... they re-signed Chad but don't know about his shoulder...

Drew might have Chad's shoulder...

Daunte might want to be near the water

Pennington reworked his deal already, btw.

I think he stays. Unless Gibbs can get a 2 (maybe a 3) he will not weaken this position plus we have more pressing needs IMO and these 3 will be fine for now.

I figure the Jets are tired of having an accurate, careful quarterback who has the weakest arm in the NFL. So maybe they'll try Ramsey, the diametric opposite.

He can join ex skin Sage Rosenfels in Miami.

I see a team that Ramsey has had success against being the one that eventually takes him off our hands...of course that narrows it down a bit.

I'd like to see Ramsey in Detriot. They have some good receivers - I think Ramsey would fit in well there.

I dont care where he goes, I only care about what we get for him. 2nd round pick is what I want.

That would only happen if a bidding war broke out or if we kept him and a QB went down in training camp. I expect we'll get a 3rd or 4th for him.

What's the deal with people's enfatuation with Ramsey?

He'll end up passing to none other than LC again, IMO. Thing is, I'm not sure if he'll even nab the starting job with any of these ball clubs...Not that I think he's a phenomenal starter or anything.

I like Oakland because Ramsey is Davis' type of QB. Throw it long and stretch the D. Wouldn't it be nice if we could do a trade like we did with Schraeder for Lachey trade? Except this time Ramsey for a #2 round pick this year.
