If all the teams are cutting to get evrybody under 94.5 where are all these players gonna end up. Theres only 11 teams or so with cap space, do they all end up there, is Cleveland going to be better than Washington.?

Teams do not get better than other teams just by adding superstars OR (presumably) better players than they had the year before. Teams get better because the new players make the rest of the team play better and most of the time the "addition" had a bad year the year before.
Most of the time the new superstar does not make the new team better. Most of the time the better team player (rather than the "star") is the more desirable addition - see Santana from 1 year to the next and Coles from 1 year to the next.

We are so lucky to have these coaches (and this staff) making these decisions right now - we will be back in the playoffs because of them.

I guess they will sign cheap deals to the teams that can fit them under their cap. Probably 1 year deals and then try to get paid in 07 when there is no cap because it is going to happen, they will not come to terms by Sunday. Some players might even sit out a year

The comments below are why this is such a great site!

In response to a query about who will blink first:

i agree that the players will ultimately blink here.

This is why...

a player would be eligible for free agency only after six years instead of the current four; there would be no salary minimum, and annual raises would be limited to 30 percent.

Matt Burk has thrown the NFLPA head under the bus. He said Upshaw only cares about RBs and QBs, he said the players aren't being informed.

And today there is a Owners and NFLPA meeting to try and resolve this. Today for the first time there will be NFL players attending the meetings. This gets done before Sunday

C'mon guys - sign the deal! lets get it on! :celebrate:
