Swedish Goalie Stones The Americans

Wow... tough luck for the American women's hockey team today as stunningly, they were upset by Sweden in the semi-final.
The Swedish goalie stood on her head stopping 37 of 39 shots.
The game couldn't be decided in overtime and went into a shootout where Sweden won the heart-breaker.

Sad that the Americans lost but that is what the Olympics are all about. Exciting, close competition!!!

It's the first time America has lost to anyone besides Canada in women's hockey, who by the way, has only ever lost to the United States.

... and Canada smokes the Fins 6-0 to earn their place in the final.
Kim Martin stoned the Canadians two weeks ago too when the Canadians could only manage two goals in 40+ shots for a 2-0 victory.
She'll have to be even better than she was against the Americans to have a chance of beating the powerhouse Canadian team... they're rolling and probably the ONLY thing going for Sweden is that NOBODY has even given Canada a game yet... they have now outscored their opponents 42-1 in four games.
But anything can happen in one game... Sweden will need to get ahead early and then hope that Martin can stonewall the Canadians into absolute frustration to have a chance. But IMO, it would take another 'Miracle on Ice'.

Right now the Canadaian Women are Unbeatable. Chalk up another Gold!!!
