#2 Receiver in 2006

Santana will be the #1, but who's going to be the number 2? David Patten and James Thrash are aging and coming off injury plagued seasons. Taylor Jacobs got his shot and didn't perform. T.O isn't exactly a Joe Gibbs type guy. A rookie rarely cracks the starting line up for Gibbs. And most free agents like Randle El and Wayne are going to demand too much money.

If they dis sign TO, mistake number 1 is calling him WR #2!!!

Moss had the best season for a reciever ever in Redskins history. I think he would still be the #1.

I don't think that any of those guys will be the #2. I'm hoping that we can get Eric Moulds (assuming that the Bills cut him).

I am not really for this but for some reason I think it's gonna happen, TO. May the force be with us, if it does.

I chose other but I don't know who. None of the guys currently on our team are good enough to play opposite Moss. I don't think Gibbs would touch TO. Wayne wants to be a #1 and will be too expensive. It is unlikely that a rookie can come in and ,make the difference we need right away though I am all for adding a guy through the draft. From the beginning I thought Randle El would be a great addition due to his elusiveness and intelligence and, even more importantly, his skills on Special Teams but he might cost too much too even though he isn't #1 material. So I am going to say other, I think we pick up someone else through FA or via trade.

Maybe a WR will follow Al Saunders from KC. I know none of them are "great" but they did a lot for the "machine" that was KC's offense. Someone listed their free agents at some point. I think at least one was a WR.
Maybe an O lineman will follow as well.

What Danny wants, Danny gets. It will be really cool to see Antwaan Randle El in the fold next year. Can't wait!

Randel El is not going to leave the Steelers. I live in Steeler country right now. The Steelers are going to pay him and he is going to stay.

Free agents are rarely cheap. Have anyone particular in mind?

I was thinking the same thing, then I saw the stats the WR in KC were not key. The TE & RB combo is what drove that O.
I think Pattern will get a second chance like Brunell did. He was out with an injury so you can't really gauge his progress. Open the job up in Camp and see who wants to be the #2 Patten, Jacobs, a draft pick, or a free agent. We know Moss is a lock. We should be talking about what TEs are going to come in and compete with or replace Royal if he is not re-signed.

I would trade Ramsey for Jason Dunn.

I want to draft Stovall, but I bet it's going to be Patten.

i like either notre dame guy, stovall or samardizja (sp?) unless sam. isnt coming out...in which case i still like stovall.
i also like calvin johnson from georgia tech, i think he's a senior and could be a 3rd rounder if we're lucky. he's got size and hands and adequate speed.

not sure about any of them but i think this is our #1 concern during the off season we need a # 2 to go with moss, cooley and portis. randle el would be a good fit.

David Patten is a joke. I think he's a joke because he just seemed like such a pushover last year. DB's pushed him around, he wouldn't body for position on the ball. He was so invisible that I can't remeber off the top of my head if he was sure handed or not. The question with David was if he was #2 material since he played slot in NE. I think last year he proved that he's a slot WR at best. I didn't show in tenacity imo.
Would I love him to prove me wrong? Yes
Do I have greater hope for him with Saunders on board? Yes
Why? Saunders has done marvels with "no name" or mediocre WR's in KC.
I'd like to see Randle hop on board for a good price. If not then I'd definately like to see us draft a decent sized WR for the future.
Im still on the Koren Robinson train. I'm willing to give him another chance after his comeback year in Minny. Plus he WANTS to be a Skin and be reunited with Springs. I'm all for bringin him in and I think he'd be cheaper than Randle.

Yeah, I'd give Koren Robinson another shot, he's a pretty physical guy who could compliment Moss...
But really, in an ideal situation I'd want Taylor Jacobs to improve.
I mean, he's a smart route runner, he has pretty good hands... he just needs to learn to be more physical and get stronger...
He could maximize his potential and really be a hell of a #2 I think.

Talk about a guy getting pushed around by defenders -- Jacobs seems scared of the ball at times! This guy just stinks -- he's got "stone hands" syndrome and seems to just shy away from making plays. I love his size but he's not worth putting anything more into.
