Started my Eagles research and am now convinced that the sickly greens will be the principal pursuers of Reggie Wayne! As far as I can see Santonio Holmes, Derek Hagan and and Sinorise Moss are the only real good players and I am not sure any of them are top 20 picks!
Anyone rate Jason Avant..I get to watch College Football but I don't remember any amazing passing games at Michigan

That's fine. Reggie Wayne would be a great #2 here in Washington. I'd love to see the Eagles try to make him a #1.

Avant is in a word, consistant. Now that he is labeled as a possession reciever, he may slide a bit. I like him personally. I dont see that he solves any of the Eagles reciever problems. He is a complimentary wideout.

It seems that the Eagles have needed a wide receiver for ever. The one time they go out and spend on one, they end up with TO. Makes you feel sorry for them, doesn't it. No, I didn't think so.

I hope they sign Wayne and try to make him a #1 beacuse it will not work.

Two words.....
Peerless Price.
He wanted to become a #1...so he went to ATL, now look at him. Alot of guys are better at being a #2.
I think Wayne in time could be a #1, but I don't see him stepping in somewhere and becoming a Marvin Harrison.

Who the heck is Peerless Price! Didn't the Bills have a #2 receiver by that name a few years ago until he signed with Atlanta and fell off the face of the Earth!
Price is a washed up, has been! Oh wait, he wasn't even that good; he is a washed up, never was!

I have watched the Senior Bowl 3-4 times and have the practice taped on my DVR watched them all a couple times and......
Derek Hagan - great route runner and uses his body well, namely on his touchdown. He would be a perfect possession reciever for Moss. I would absolutely love to get him, but according to the scouts he may have moved himself out of our reach.
Sinorice Moss - could actually be faster than Santana....hard to believe but he is a great route runner with all that speed. Just like Hagan he may have gotten himself out of our reach.
Jason Avant - Very fast, but he is VERY VERY VERY injury prone, WILL be there with our pick. Although he lacks great size he still great hands and Mel Kiper says he is one of the best jump ball recievers even at his height.
Maurice Stovall - Down right miserable route runner and he drops the easy ones, sound familiar (Rod Gardner), but he does use his size well, could actually slip to our 3rd rounder.
Hank Baskett - SUCKS, which dissapoints because I loved him in college but lets hope he goes to a rival, because he has NO HANDS.

ey, I actually heard and saw different results.
I thought Hagan dropped his stock more than he dropped passes

(and that's a lot of dropping!) Nonetheless, I still doubt he'll be there at 53.
Also, I thought Stovall's stock rose. Yes he uses his body well, but I also thought he had good routes and hands (while making a few
great catches)... I'm no expert, but I thought he did great out there.
And about Avant, I think you may be thinking of his college teammate Steve Breaston, now that guy is fast! I mean, Avont is good, but not super fast. However he is injury prone and I think he'll be about a 3/4th round pick.
Still, I hope we don't use our 2nd Rounder on a WR unless a STUD is still there (however there aren't very many stud WR's this year).

Hank Baskett? That must be cockney rhyming slang for something.
I'm sorry, but nobody in the world could possibly be called Hank Baskett.

Also, I am no draft expert but a receiver with NO HANDS is probably not a very good option

Baskett didn't have near as many drops as Martin Nance. Nance just killed himself at the Senior Bowl. Go ahead and pile on Baskett. He's not bad, he's just not worth a first-day pick. If he were around in the 6th round and I needed a taller receiver, I'd take him.

There are no money receivers in this draft. Zero. The only way one moves into the Top-15 is if one like Moss or Holmes runs a 4.3 at the combine. If 4 go in the first round, it'll be a colossal mistake.
