Joe Gibbs Performance Trucks!

I searched and didn't see this so I think I'm the first person to post this. Check it out:

http://www.joegibbsperformance.com/

They make custom Silverados, Tahoes, and Avalanches. I was watching this show "Trucks" on Spike TV and the guy said this was the most powerful Chevy truck there was, something like 400hp I think and the only truck you can buy that is faster without aftermarket customization is some Dodge that has a Viper engine in it. Bad ass! Joe Gibbs is the man!

BTW, here's the company profile:

As a three-time Super Bowl winning NFL coach, NASCAR team owner with two Winston Cup championships, philanthropic leader and dedicated family man, Joe Gibbs drives every successful life endeavor with integrity, quality, and teamwork. His new Joe Gibbs Performance™ Chevrolet Silverado is no different.

Merging his two lanes of life—passion for racing and remarkable business acumen—Gibbs presents this vehicle with an exclusive, yet affordable edge for distinct driver satisfaction. The Joe Gibbs Performance™ Silverado boasts race-bred style, best-in-class engineering, beyond-peak performance and the same high standard of quality customers expect from the General Motors name.

The Joe Gibbs Performance Silverado demonstrates Gibbs’ personal committment to high performance—in the factory, on the field and around the race track. And just like Joe Gibbs, this exclusive product delivers.

They should make a special Redskins tailgate model!

SkinsRin is right. I believe him.

But you misunderstood he wrote HP, not horse power. He meant 885 -Hints- of Power, not horse power.

Hey, skinsRin, there are people here that know a bit about engines and cars around here. We all can take a koke but if you are interested to talk cars, we can do that too.

Your obviously a freakin idoit, 800+ is easy to get out of a Supra, their are many guys that have over 1000 hp, do a little research on www.supraforums.com and you'll see. Don't respond without knowing or doing some kind of research.

I am not a mod. I do not wish to say anything that they might.

But somehow I am not very comfortable when somebody attacks somebody else personally without being attacked first. skinpride1 did not attack you personally. He expressed understandable skepticism.

Somewhat I am not interested to pursue this topic with you anymore. There are other car experts in this forum from highway maintenance to NASCAR racing. This attitide is not going to get you anywhere with any of us. Get it?

Well, the guy is because you cannot call me a bull pooper, which he did before knowing. Supra are capable of having over 1000 RWHP(rear wheel horse power) on stock engines and tranny's all it takes is a big turbo and a few other mods. Typically a car loses 15% of it's power from the crank to the wheels. Mine has 885 at the crank and about 800 at the wheels. I have dyno sheets to prove it, their are many Supra owners that put down much more then me. Go to www.supraforums.com and you'll see what these cars can do. Supra are one of the only cars you can pull that kinda of power out of and still have a stock motor and tranny, thats why these cars are so expensive, 93-96 models still sell for 20K plus and 97-98 models sell for 30K plus.

So, even if it is true, Does that mean that every time you feel you win an argument, you can insult any opponent?

A powerful car needs as much a responsible driver, as a good board needs responsible posters that abide by the rules. If you want a fight with somebody: Take it to smack! That is what that forum is there for.

You happen to be talkin to ASE master certified tech that has been working 10+ years at a dealership bud!!Do you believe everything that you read if you do you are the idiot!!!That 1997 twin turbo supra might try to put out 885 horses and only after spending another 10 grand to do so!! Go right ahead throw your money down the toliet!!!A stock twin turbo supra only puts out 320 horses at 5600 rpm!!!Hell, stick twin turbos and nitro's on that silverado, she will crank it out but not for long. The bottom end(crankshaft and piston rods) just can't handle all that boost!!!Thats why they don't do it!!!You can life like a racer but it's only going to hit your pocket book!!!

A couple of things folks... first, this thread is about Joe Gibbs trucks.

Second, while i appreciate non-mods helping out with the moderating... it's usually not worth your time and effort... they won't listen to you... you just end up cluttering threads even more.

Third... skinsRin, skinpreide1... please obey board rules... which explicitly state that you don't EVER attack a poster outside of smack... calling each other idiots isn't an option here... well unless you're in the smack forum... and is that really a lot to ask? That you click on an extra button to get to a place where you can call each other every name under the sun?

SkinsRin... couple of warnings in consecutive days... keep it up and you'll find your posting privileges suspended. The rules are here.

And nobody needs to respond to this or apologize... just please get the topic back to Joe Gibbs trucks.

... which have been around for a few years... the Hogettes auctioned off a customized one last year.

Does anyone know if Gibbs drives one of these?

I just can't see him driving a truck.

I see him as more of a 64 Impala guy.
