I made some controversial posts recently about the thought process of our beloved coach JG. I love Gibbs. I have been a Redskin fan since George Allen. I am alot like George. I dont kiss everyones ass. If I dont believe in whats going on I'll vent. I dont just say, OH we are going to be great with this guy or that, whoever....When we dont make good decisions, Ill say something. Why did we suck, OFFENSIVELY in the playoffs...? I dont just say oh Gibbs is Great so I cant say anything, he knows it all because hes a HOF coach, Thats like a Republican, or Democrat, if you are a certain political party, most dont care what they do, they support them anyway. I dont. I still love my team, but I do criticize. I think we all should at least doubt them if we dont agree. Thats freedom. I dont love Ramsey. I think he has more potential than Brunell, but of course he does. Hes younger, stronger, and can throw the rock like a gunslinger. He throws downfield. He will go somewhere else and I hope he succeeds. But Im worried about my team. I think Jason Cambell could be the answer. Gibbs thinks so, the whole organization thinks so. We gave up enough for him. So lets go JC...Everything I said in my other posts are correct. Im sorry some of you guys cant see it, but thats OK. Im not mad or upset. I just want what you all want. A CHAMPIONSHIP. We will get there again real soon....I dont care who the QB is. Go Gibbs,Saunders,Williams, and of course Snyder...WE WANT A RING.

6-10 TO 11-6
Our 1st time in the playoffs since 1999.
We made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
This was all done in 2 years.
This was accomplished with vital components of the offense missing.
HAIL TO THE REDKINS!
HAIL TO JOE GIBBS! The best coach ever. He's done sooo much good for this team and Im glad he's staying for his entire tenure.

I also thought that if Ramsey played the Redskins would of had a much better season, as he does throw the ball around to all sides of the field, to different recievers, and also deeper patterns. It seemed to me in to many occassions over the last two years, Brunell pretty much was happy to throw 3 to 8 yard passes 90 percent of the time, and to mostly one receiver, and to the left side of the field. Some in the organization say that Ramsey makes mistakes?? I don't see it, he doesn't throw to many interceptions, the ones he threw last year came mostly trying to catch the Redskins up because Brunell got us so far behind, and everytime he came in he almost pulled us back into the game.
Ramsey is a good kid, who seems to be very bright. He was given the starters job going into the season only to have it pulled out from him for what a fumble on the 4 yardline because Jon Jansan lets his man beat him untouched to knock Ramsey out of the game and concussed. Gibbs is quick with the trigger on Ramsey but with Brunell its much different. Brunell would have to break his neck to come out the game with Gibbs even with a 3 fumble day that cost us in Denver and a lackluster showing for half of the season. With Ramsey I know our offense would be a lot better. Didn't we go thru this same thing with Mary Rypian and Doug Williams, Gibbs stuck with Doug no matter what as he struggled in every game he ever played with us except the Superbowl, but everytime Rypian would come in the Redskins offense avgeraged like almost a touchdown a game better.
Don't get me wrong I like Brunell he was my favorite player on that 1991 Washington Husky team, but he needs to be used as a backup.
Marvin Lewis is a textbook example on how to get it done. He had the #1 pick in Carson Palmer even though Kitna was playing like Brunell is now barely above average. Palmer sits for 1 year learning the offense starts in year 2 and look at him now. Why can't Joe Gibbs say either Ramsey or Campbell you day is NOW. How many 56 yard passing days are we going to have to go thru again next year with Brunell. Don't think its the offense either, its Brunell. Its kind of funny how Ramsey last year started and did very well in that same offense that Brunell stunk up. How Ramsey completed what 65.0 percent of his passes in the games he started.
Brunell is not aggressive until the Redskins fall behind. I've never seen any QB in the history of the game throw the ball out of bounds more then Brunell even on a 3rd and 3 pass. Ramsey isn't throwing the ball away on 3rd and 3, someone has to be open. Plus with Brunell the offense is predictable. You know about 2/3 of the time on third and longer then 5 Brunell is rolling out to the left, cutting the playing field to a 1/3 of its size, and teams caught on to that at the end.
Hopefully in the this draft the Redskins can draft A Quality Tight END, not a servicable TE but a Quality TE like Pope from Georgia. IM sick of Robert Royal. If we can get a BAD@$$ TE it would take a lot of pressure off of Moss, and

ey, and open up holes for our #2 receiver and who is ever playing the Y receiver. You can't double cover Moss then. Byrd from USC is a clone of

ey just faster and maybe even better hands. If we could get him or Pope how nasty would that be. MOss,

ey, Byrd or Pope and maybe Reggie Wayne?? I think TE is a huge hole for us, and moving

ey to TE is out of the question. I don't want a sure thing in

ey getting beat up over a 16 game season playing TE.

Controversial? Or just insubstantial?
Maybe while you're spouting your right to an opinion and expressing it, you should consider whether or not others should get the same respect.
You're worried about YOUR team?
YOUR team just had it's best season in over a decade. YOUR team just won out 5 straight to make the playoffs which meant SWEEPING all 3 division rivals. YOUR team just defied every 'expert' prediction on the planet to do all of the aforementioned. YOUR team is looked at with a respectful eye today instead of with scorn and laughter. YOUR team is on the way up.
Which brings us to the current scenario... YOUR team just finished a season that surpassed even the most optimistic fan's outlook. I'd say that the Redskins haven't done
anything in the offseason either since they
JUST ended that surprise season, but that wouldn't be true either, would it? They already hired one of the league's most prolific offensive co-ordinators in Al Saunders.
Don't get your panties in a bunch because you couldn't get a lot of support for your opinion.... maybe people just DON'T AGREE. Since it's THEIR team too, they're allowed. Or perhaps you just didn't provide enough substance to prove the point you were tring to make.
You're perfectly entitled to your armchair opinion too... but in my opinion, you should try to remember that that's all it is and that other's have the same right.

You keep saying that BH, and it's wrong every time you do. We swept the Eagles & Cowboys. We split the series with the Giants.
Don't get me wrong, a 5-1 NFC East record is about as good as you can expect to have. It's fantastic. However, we didn't sweep the division.

maybe because you don't think it was the skins who showed up for that first Giants game!

Not at all, just if you're going to make good points, I don't want someone to be able to point out a mistake in one statement as a way to invalidate the rest.

Hey Griff, Your right about the TE, also, we may need to get another Guard to provide much needed backup, since my boy Ray Brown retired, I went to college with Ray, he's a great guy. I didnt like Brunell last year, but this year he did the basics, and that works some, but not against the good defenses. Your right, if we would have had a passer in there, we could have helped out our defense. Ya think Saunders with his downfield passing attack will stick with Marky Mark??

Guys and Gals, Everyone has their opinion on what we need. Gibbs and the crew knows what we need and where we need it. I know one thing, whoever plays and in whatever position, Gibbs will bring us a championship. period

I know it's a long off-season yet to go but if Ramsey we're absolutely gone would he not have been dealt with already? Maybe we keep him and trade Brunell to the lions for a 3rd.

If Ramsey was so much better than Brunell, why wasn't he in the lineup?

Maybe, just Maybe, Gibbs knows a wee bit more about football than you do. Ramsey has not shown any consistency, enough footwork in the pocket, or enough football smarts to warrant a starting job yet. Besides, he is no longer part of our plans, so why keep talking about hi?

Gibb said it was his "GUT" why he went with Brunell, Hes the coach. He makes the decisions...Period.I guess now Saunders will be making the Offensive decisions. So lets see how this all plays out...Love the 60 year old virgin pic, thats cool...HaHa

I want a ring too, but what happens after Brunell. He only has one more year in him or a half, but we are letting a good one walk away from Redskins park with a bad feeling in his stomach. He isn't the first(Brad Johnson). But once Ramsey is gone, it's Mark and Jason, and how long can Mark last. Only a long time if he is placed into the number 2 role. Gibbs would never do that. I want the ring. Brunell wants one too, but if he goes down, we are suddenly thin at QB.

We??? Ramsey has a choice he can tell Coach Gibbs he want to play out his contract and come back and compete for the QB job.

I didn't care then and I do not care now. Everybody EARNS a reputation here and you are working hard at building yours with only a handful of posts.
If this is your idea of saying "i was wrong" and " I am eating crow now" It is pretty lame. Honesty works both ways, when one is right and when one is wrong.
And you are not theonly fan that goes that far back. Not that going that far back alone makes anybody a better fan, obviously.

The beauty of this site is that you can voice your opinion and argue with other Skins fans about what is going on here. People on this website don't like me, but I still do it anyway because I know I am talking to Redskins fans. Don't apoligize for your opinion. I still think starting Ramsey would have been the smarter move, but a lot of Skins fnas don't think so, that is the beauty of this site. You can say what you think and get feed back that is why I am on this site. I know everyone here is on the same page. We want the Redskins to win the superbowl. We have diffrences in opinion, but our goals are the same.
