I may get pelted for asking this but is there any way on Gods green earth that we would pose this to Denver? Ramsey for our first rounder back that we gave them to get cambell? Would ramsey fit in their scheme? Im sure this is a wild pipe dream but???

I personally don't think that is an option. However, if Denver is willing lets jump all over it. If we do indeed trade Pat, I would guess a 3rd rounder at best

Maybe we can stir up some rumors and get it in peoples ears

Remember Gibbs benched Ramsey in effect saying I don't believe he's a "starting" NFL QB...hard to ask for starters money..i.e a first round pick for someone you feel is not worthy of it. As i said elsewhere the Skins will allow Ramsey to seek a trade and will listen to all offer.

No way he goes to Denver, at least not yet. Jake is their guy, and even though he is very random, I don't see much of an upgrade in Ramsey.
Nor do I think we will ever get a 1st rounder for him. Maybe a 3rd/4th at best. I mean, even though we drafted him in the First Round, he has hardly played his career so I highly doubt someone will give up their 1st rounder for him.
But a team I can see him going to is either Arizona or Oakland. Both those teams have great WR, and with Patricks strong arm he could really open up a downfield passing game.

Exactly. He was a borderline first-rounder when we drafted him (32nd overall), and his value has dropped significantly since then. If we got a second round pick, I would be thrilled.

I think you peolpe are undervaluing Ramsey.
Remember how he came into the Giants game. He was forced to burn a few timeouts, because receivers were in the wrong set, but he looked very good in a backup role.
That game was 21-17. It had a lot of momentum swings, and could have gone either way. He led the team to victory, when playoff hopes and the NFC East title was up for grabs for both teams.
He came in right after a blocked field goal, he burned a few timeouts because he needed to, then he threw a strike to Moss for a TD, going up 28-17.
He led the team to victory in a game they needed to have. Don't think other NFL teams didn't take notice.
Saying he is worth a 4th round pick is rediculous.
He is worth a late 1st/ early 2nd round IMO. Whether they are able to get that given the situation is another story.

Gibbs NEVER said he wasn't a starting QB. He said he went with the better man for the job. And Patrick could find huge success in another system, that's my opinion. But Gibbs would never say Ramsey isn't starting caliber. He just made a choice between the two. They've all had the benefit of Ted Musgrave and it improved Brunnell why would you think it did not improve Ramsey as well??
Oh and I like the idea of Ramsey for their first rounder. We may have to give up a little more but I'm willing to give next year's pick if it means we get to fill a spot with someone Joe and Co. deem a quality guy.

I may be proven wrong (and I'd be happy about that) but I believe there is zero possibility of obtaining a first-round pick in exchange for Ramsey.
Also, Niki, I believe DEHog's point was that Gibbs decision to bench Ramsey was an indication that he believed Ramsey is not a capable starter, not that Gibbs actually said that.

I know Gibbs would never say that, but teams GM's are much smarter than me...When you take over a team and the first signing you make is a QB what are you saying about your current QB?? Other GM's will call it like they see it Ramsey is currently a back-up QB. In no way am I saying he can't be a starter in the NFL..however that's not what he is now. I think the thing that will make Ramsy attractive to other teams is that they don't have to give up a first round for him. Is anybody here ready to give up a first round pick for some other teams #2 QB...I can only think of a few I might do that for...Garrard and Rivers come to mind.

You guys seriously think Ramsey is better than Plummer?! That's a good one!

We will not get a 1rst rounder for Ramsey. We might (if the GM has sniffed too much glue) get a 2nd for him. A 3rd seems just compensation for a decent QB who has potential and has started and produced but also has some question marks.
BTW- the teams that will be looking for another QB?
1.) Jets
2.) Lions (oh yes they will)
3.) Baltimore (Boller or Wright? Hmm... not real confident in either)
4.) Bengals (if Palmer's injury takes too much time or is career ending they need another QB)
5.) Oakland (Collins is not getting it done)
I'd take a 2nd or 3rd round pick from any of them but #'s 1,2,5,3 have earlier round selections so their picks would be worth more than #4 to me.
Please add more if you think I missed some.

What about the Giants and the Cowboys?!
But seriously, Arizona could use a QB too.

Actually, the Boys are in need of a QB

I wouldn't really consider that a
strike, it was more of a lucky lob. He just kind of threw it up there in traffic and luckily Santana came down with it and did the rest.
He is worth a late 1st/ early 2nd round IMO.
All I'm going to say is, Don't hold your breath

Er ... yes, that's what I meant, I should have finished my thought "... need a QB who can bask in Bledsoe's glory for the next 12 years."

Thanks hk ...
So the list has been updated ...
1.) Jets
2.) Lions (oh yes they will)
3.) Baltimore (Boller or Wright? Hmm... not real confident in either)
4.) Bengals (if Palmer's injury takes too much time or is career ending they need another QB)
5.) Oakland (Collins is not getting it done)
6.) Arizona
Any of thsoe would be good to trade Ramsey for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Most likely we'll get anywhere froma 3rd to a 5th.

no no no, we wont get a 2nd rounder for him. honestly, the best we can hope for is a mid rounder and we are pushing our luck at that. all you have to do it ask yourself "what has ramsey proven?"

Don't forget Miami. Desperate need of a QB. And they already have a history of trading 2nd round draft picks for quarterbacks of questionable potential (See AJ Feeley).
I'd also include Cleveland, since they're not sold on Charlie Frye.
Of course, Minnesota if they get rid of Daunte, are also a possibility.

Is he related to Bill Musgrave?
