Opinions I enjoy reading the many opinions expressed on this site and occasionally offer an uneducated opinion of my own.

Having watched JG the first time he was coach and watching how he is working "his" plan today, I think the best thing we can do is not try to second guess who will be playing or who will be cut or who will be added but we can watch and enjoy the results.
I will not be surprised if JG continues as part of the Redskins organization after his 5 yr. Contract. He may be in an advisory position but he would be of tremendous value to DS.

your right, Gibbs is the man and he will put the right players on the field, QB and all. I am very interested to see who he is gonna go with.

Wow! We are going to have lots to post about then aren't we.
I for one love to discuss who will be cut and added - tho I don't second guess the master.

I watched every skins game this year and I dont know what film Gibbs is watching. I saw a scared Mark Brunell. He cant throw down field. The ones Santana caught were just thrown like hail marys. And with Saunders, his QB's, take our former Redskin Trent, throws and throws and throws. Brunell cant do anything even remotely, not even close to that. He is so scared he will throw a pick. Ramsey will go to another team and kick ass. Brunell, well hitches are good, but as you saw in the playoffs and in the last few regular season games, take out Moss and your toast. We sucked in the playoffs. Our defense came and our offense went out the damn door. Even David Patton griped during the season, there are other recievers than Moss. We need a QB like Ryp, someone Gibbs used to have that can sling that ball. Not someone you have to throw little out patterns to an H-back or TE, or one WR(Moss). We will never go anywhere with Brunell. Chock it up people. Your stupid if you think we will. Gibbs was great. But as you see, the torch has been passed. If Ramsey was the QB this year we would be in the SB this year. Ramsey can throw the little hitches, outs to the TE, just like Brunell, but more importantly, he can throw down field. That td to Moss in the Giants game would not have happened if Brunell wouldnt have gottin hurt. Mark couldnt have made that throw. Pat can and did. But I say Gibbs isnt as good as he used to be. We know that now. Poor Snyder Brad and Pat. Great QB's gone to do better. Pat will get him a SB. Brad has one already. Brunell is Gibbs guy. Gibbs spent way too much on a mediocre player and doesnt want to admit he made a big mistake. Yeah Mark did well during the season, but any QB in that system could have done that. Moss made Mark look very good. But he wasnt. And we couldve done so much better. Poor Gibbs. Poor Snyder. I guess its Jason's time now. We will see. I know that Saunders will not put Brunell in there when he cant even see downfield...Thats in the film...Lets go Jason, its time to see what you have...

yup... all 20 in a row... all luck. right?
Trent, throws and throws and throws.
coming in as a 2nd string in St. Louis to KC cuz his coach moved......
Brunell cant do anything even remotely, not even close to that. He is so scared he will throw a pick.
3000+ yards says your wrong!
I could go on forever... but I wont... cuz if I said what I wanted about you... I'd get banned from the site! Support another team.. pLease!

This smells like someone with a Man-Crush on Ramsey...only thing I can translate from this jargon is "I like Ramsey. I have a Fathead of Ramsey on my wall. I will have to put Duct Tape over Ramsey's name, and use Magic Marker to write Rypien on my jerseys. I know nothing about Joe Gibbs. I am just mad because Gibbs doesn't like my fantasy QB. I started Ramsey every week in my league, hoping he would come in and didnt.
Dude get over it. He was turnover machine and he will not be missed. Under Ramsey we never had a winning season. Don't give me that Spurrier stuff. All everyone ever does is make excuses for the guy. He was not that good. 74 career passer rating is studly huh?
Realize this fact, we were a bad team before. Turning us into a winner means cutting some ties to former guys who don't cut it, Ramsey is one of them.
I don't wish him bad things in the future, but I can't wait until he can start somewhere and you can a chance to watch him play. Then lets see how 'great' he is.

I can only pray that Gibbs will take a roll on this team even after his legacy is over...Gibbs is why I started to like the skins in the first place... I liked his philosophy of team and character during his first run...back when it meant something to be a skins fan.. It was about blue collar guys working hard and getting it done. Unlike 2day when it’s about big money and special interests, and flashy one season players. Jacoby was an ugly dude. But dam he did his job!!!!!!. That’s what its all about
There is a reason why Gibbs is a HFC.....and it isn’t just because of his winning percentage

I think that there can be all kinds of opinions concerning Brunell. Mine is that he is on his way down and the team will not progress with him as the QB. I can't say that Ramsey would have been better or worse. I think it is obvious that Ramsey does not have a future with the Redskins. I sincerely hope that he goes somewhere and has a Hall of Fame career, except against the Redskins, then may he throw 40 interceptions and fumble 20 times per game. I don't think Ramsey has been treated well by the Redskins but that is the business side of it.
Unfortunately, I suspect that Brunell will be the starting QB next year as there is no one else, for now. Gibbs has never put in a rookie and I doubt Saunders will but we shall see.
This off-season has already started out interesting and it could get more so.

Brunell is on his way out in terms of playing career but if our O-line pass blocked better and created more space for Portis and the other backs to run so that we were a dominate running team again, maybe we would get more out of Brunell.
It is hard to ask a 36 year-old to run for his life on every other passing down. I am not a Brunell fan or apologist but when he started the season and had protection, he was servicable.
As far as Ramsey is concerned, I don't blame the kid for the way his career has turned out. The blame lays squarely on Steve Spurrier and the offensive coaches under him. They left this kid to wolves and it has definitely affected his career. I look back to the New Orleans game where he had all of the picks and basically spent the game on his back as the nail in the coffin for him. That game damaged him and Spurrier nor his coaches did anything to get the kid straight. The real question about Ramsey is: What would he be like if his first two years were spent under Gibbs???

I was actually surprised at times with how well Burnell threw. The Bombs in Dallas were pretty much on the money............It's just with Ramsey not playing much, you forget his flaws. He didn't light it up in game 1 when he was in there..........

Yep, he was damaged by bad coaching early in his career. Yes, Gibbs could have made a Super Bowl QB out of him. Theisman, Schroeder, Rypien, Williams - they were all just okay until Gibbs worked his magic. And for most the most part they never did much except under Gibbs. With Ramsey's talent, no question Ramsey could have turned out better. But that's apparently water under the bridge. For whatever reason, Gibbs gave up on Ramsey after one season.

If Ramsey was the QB this year we would be in the SB this year.
Don't get me wrong, I like Ramsey, but he has never shown that he can take the leadership role required to be the starter. Can he, yes I think he can, but he lack maturity. If Ramsey was the QB in Dallas on Monday night week 3. The Skins would have finishe 9-7 (or worse and out of the playoffs). Your rant would be much better received if the Skins had a loosing record. What will be your next rant. Portis is no good beacuse he did not get the rushing title this year? Or maybe Greg Williams can't coash because the Skins did not have the number one Defense this year? Brunell does what he asked to do. lead the Offense (he did), make a few plays (he did), and don't turn the ball over (he didn't). It seems you base your observation on the playoffs. Lest you forget there was a six game win streak to get there. As for Marks sputtering in the playoffs? It happens, ask Delhomme, ask Plummer, and most importantly ask Cory Raymer aka Revolving Door.
