The Los Angeles Daily News reported yesterday that Redskins cornerbacks/secondary coach DeWayne Walker emerged as the top candidate to become defensive coordinator at UCLA.
Walker was scheduled to interview with coach Karl Dorrell on Saturday. The Daily News reported that Walker's salary is a sticking point, and he also wanted to be assured he could hire his kind of staff.
The Bruins fired Larry Kerr after the season. UCLA went 10-2 but was 113th out of 117 Division I-A teams in total defense, allowing 468.1 yards a game.

Don't worry. We'll just lure Monte Kiffin to take his place. :-"

Why wouldn't he, it would get him a little more publicity for his foundation, part of his contract could be that danny boy could advertise for his foundation for free. I bet he would join if that were to happen. :D :D

I think Green will be a coach one day... It'll be great if it's with the SKINS, his heart will always be here.

Green is not cut out to be a coach. I know I read him saying a few years ago when Deion came in and DG got put in nickel packages that he wasn't much of a clipboard guy because "Those guys wouldn't listen" to him. Could've been a funny, sure.
DG is all about DG and his charity. Nothing wrong with that, but not coaching material.

DG, for some reason doesn't look like a couch but maybe he could be a couch one day, he does know his stuff. I watched that Saunders press conferance today and Gibbs named all the couches. Holly crap! I didn't realize there were that many, he ratteled of like 20 names. back in the day there were like 4 couches.

We have 11 offensive coaches. One for every player on the field!

I don't think DG looks like a "couch" either. Maybe Gibbs has all the "couches" so the team has more places to sit down. The Skin's also have a lot of "coaches" on the team.

A likely replacement may be Jerry Gray who is on the outs with Buffalo and has a history with GW

Yeah, this is a likely situation imo. I just wonder if Gray can teach the fundamentals of the DB position or if he's more general in his abilities.
