Classless?

Why do I keep hearing this noise about Seattle being Classless? Because they won? The last classless pro football incident I saw was last week's Redskins' spitting incident. Talk about classless, eh?

There's something to be said about winning with dignity...

The reason you hear it can be found in Talking Smack. It's sound evidence that at least some of your fans are classless. I'd be embarassed. And your QB did taunt our team.

Skinz74 - Did he taunt the Redskins during or after the game? I may have missed this. Please provide us specifics.

I'm gonna be honest and say I missed the taunt incident as well. I know some of my fellow fans have been less than cool so far, but the same can be and should be said about your fans. Redskins board or not.

I didn't see it either. Must not have been much -- at least not enough to grip on.

I saw Hasselbeck go up to Brunell at the end of the game for what looked like a very warm and friendly exchange.

Seattle played a good game tonight. I have no hard feelings at all. I don't think they will make it to the super bowl personally but I wish them well.

Thanks Riggofan, I must say if the skins came out on top I'd have been rooting for them to win it all.

Vandal - You are right about the spitting incident, but you are the one that started the Classless thread. And, as NikiH said, all of this started by your other athletic supporter starting thread after thread on every thing he could think of to try to kick us when we are down. I think we were just standing up for ourselves. Congratulations on your team pulling out the W today. Enjoy it while you can. We all like when our teams win.

I just don't like when I get lumped in with some of the other blockheads who root for the same team I happen to root for. Thanks, SCSkinsfan.

I apologize that you've suffered the fate of the ignored minority and that you've been conflated with your *ahem* colleagues. But part of the problem is that you were as small of a minority as you were.

I've never said anything bad about you and I don't intend to, but it doesn't help to start a thread saying that you're resisting being lumped in with your fellow Seahawks fans. . .and in the same thread state that you've encountered the most ignorant and classless fans that you've ever seen here.

Hey FFA. He did start the Classless thread in Smack, didn't he? Anyway Vandal, congratulations on your W today. We will be back next year, and hopefully our teams will meet again.

Yes, he did--my fault; I guess I got confused between the 20+ threads started on the board by various Seahawks fans in the last couple of hours. . .

So, change the sentence from "in the very same thread" to "in a thread on the very same board" and it should still read okay. . . ;)

It reall impressed me how the spectrum has really shown itself. From some really lame skins posts before the game, I guess alot of those guys just went to bed after the game, and the nice folks came out to play, eh?

I just don't understand why some posters, from either side felt the need to say the sort of things that were said this past week.

Either way, again: It's over now, and I thank those of you (including and specifically you, Fan) for making up for what was otherwise an unsatisfying experience. Those of you who've been cool: Rock on.

Your team is waiting for next week. Our team is waiting for next year. Our wounds will heal. With a little fine tuning we will be back again next year. Just remember, the Smack Forum is a little different, and some of what is said is not always said to personally offend anyone. It's just good natured Smack back & forth showing support for the home teams most of the time. In all honesty, Good Luck.

i know nothing about seahawks fans in general but one thing is for sure: an absolutely despicable, CLASSLESS spectacle was the banner one fan had up during the game, the one that said

"GO BACK TO NASCAR, GIBBS!" (or something to that effect.)

joe gibbs is a saint and for any other team's fans to diss him like that is complete trash. maybe the next time seattle plays at FedEx i'll bring a banner that says "GO BACK TO THE ARTIC, HOLMGREN!" with an illustration of how he looks exactly like a walrus.

Whatever vandal. Guys... read all posts.

This guy who's walking around asking you not to judge him with shaunmvp37 is doing EXACTLY WHAT HE'S ASKING YOU NOT TO DO... by consistently grouping ALL redskin fans together. Just read his posts, especially in Smack.

This guy just likes to try and butter both sides of a piece of bread... and has greasy fingers because of it.

You want to stop being grouped with the likes of shaunmvp37... then stop lumping together all Redskin fans in the next breath.

My 2 cents
