What the heck is this? You fire Mike Sherman, a guy who only had 1 losing season with the Packers and hire Mike McCarthy? The 49ers Offensive Coordinator?
What the heck is wrong with the so-called "people's organization?" That is plain dumb.

Yeah, it's like they're trying to lose.
Why on earth would you hire teh 49ers Offensive cordinator? You would think if they wanted an offensive mind they would go after Martz or someone, but c'mon, the 49ers?

I think all these teams jumped the gun into a shallow coaching pool.

He has a history with the Packers.
He was QB coach in 99 under Ray Rhodes.
Wolf was GM then and Thompson was director of player personnel, so they had some opportunity to see how he worked first hand. With all the questions about bringing on Aaron Rodgers as the new franchise QB, a guy who impressed Thompson and Wolf in the past had a leg up on other candidates.
That's my guess.

I can't believe any of these teams don't seem to be taking Grimm that seriously. What a shame.

This must be the same logic applied by the Chiefs when they hired the coach of a 3-13 team and gave him a raise to come work there.

Wolf normally knows what he is doing. I will not rush judgment on this.

My genuine, personal and heartfelt feeling on this move ? He wants somebody who will not allow feelings to get in the way of letting Brett go, if the need be.

If the only reason they signed this guy was so Farve would come back, well I hope he retires.
The Packers need to let go and move on with life after Favre.
It's funny, remember that Packer fan who signed up and asked why everyone hated the Packers? Well at the time I didn't really
hate the Packers, but I do now.
