Looks like Russ Grimm is going to be getting some looks as a possible head coach. Would love to see that. They had him listed on the nfl network as being considered in gb, det and somewhere else........

Good for Grimm, I hope he gets a coaching job. I always liked him, he always gave 100% effort.

Yeah, it was green bay, new orleans, and Detroit that were wanting to interview him. I think Green Bay would be the best place for him. Hopefully he'll land there.

He'd make a great HC. Sounds like Detriot is taking a serious look at him.

Grimm deserves the chance, but not THAT chance.
Millen enjoys an undeserved free pass with Mr. Ford and the owners and will skate again at the expense of the next head coach who can't make chicken salad out of ... you know.

They said the SAME thing about Marvin Lewis. Lokk how it is working out.

Point taken. Mike Brown was the only one who needed to be convinced that Marvin was the right move.
But in order to convince William Clay Ford, you have to get through Millen, who is in Operation Human Shield mode so that Ford doesn't hear any suggestions that don't come from Millen himself.

However, Millen played with Grimm on the '91 SB 26 team.
In fact, they were linked in SB 18. Grimm was quoted as saying "I'd run over my own mother to win the Super Bowl".
When Millen was asked about it, he said, "Yeah, and I'd run over Grimm's mother, too, to win the game."

Are relatives allowed to become assistant coaches too?

I don't recall Millen doing anything for us but cheerleading.
Rode in on 49er credentials. Maybe made a stop or two.
Rusty has got all the credibility in the world with me. I hope he latches on somewhere that never plays us.
