Hey guys, tough tough tough game yesterday against the Bucs. I picked Washington to win. Mostly because I couldn't see Simms being able to do anything against the Skins D front 7.
When the Skins played Seattle, I knew the only way we could keep y'all off the line of scrimmage, is to get Shaun Alexander running early, and spread the field. And thats going to be the case for our impending game on Saturday.
I have a couple of questions.
1. What IS the word on Shawn Springs injury?? I have a healthy respect for him, and I can see him jamming up Darrel Jackson early and often.
2. Why until yesterday is Greg Williams using Arrington on third down plays? Is he mostly in for the 3rd and long? Or 3rd and shorts.
Was insteresting to see the power play struggles between the coaches and the players yesterday. Lots of silent treatment on the sidelines for the players that made mistakes. (I don't watch too many Skins games, so I'm going on my observations on yesterday and a few other games)
Anyways, I look forward to the matchup.
Just to give y'all a heads-up, at Qwest Stadium, we usually have a TD center, where you can get your drink & eat on before the game. This area will be close for the Saturday game, so the best thing to do if your going to be at the game, is to walk around the stadium area, where there is a few Restaraunts & Bars that serve lunch.

Also, I personally invite you all at
Seahawkshuddle.com for discussion and yes even alittle smack talk. Besides, isn't thats what footballs all about??
Take it easy and GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Arrington was not in on 3rd and longs all year but Chris Clemons got injured a couple of weeks ago and since then, he has been elevated on 3rd downs. He plays a lot in run situations, but Clemons was the guy on passing downs.

Welcome.
Springs WILL likely play, though we have no way of knowing yet. He was a possibility for the Bucs game, so I would imagine he's at least a probability for the Hawks game.
As for lavar... you have it backwards... he HASN'T been playing on 3rd downs until yesterday. I could explain the whole Lavar saga to you, but we only have 6 days left before the game starts.

Sufficeth to say that a TON of what you read in the media about Lavar is false and the only people who REALLY know what's going on with Lavar are Lavar, Gregg Williams and Joe Gibbs.
To be honest.... L.A had arguably his most DISCIPLINED game ever as a Redskin yesterday and I'm sure the staff were pumped to see him buying into the system without question. He took one dumb penalty on a 3rd down, but I think the coaching staff will be very, very, very impressed with how Lavar played against the Bucs.

Greg said he was not impressed with Lavar's ball handling, but he was joking.
Welcome Rhew.
And I saw Sean Springs running through the parking lot yesterday and he seemed to be ok, I'm hoping we rested him knowing he'd be good to go next week. I'm sure he wants to come shwo the Seahawks what a mistake they made letting us have him.

AGAIN.

Oh no, I never read into the media hype, they can be very biased and then get a little to cookie cutter in their opinions.
So now since Arrington was in 3rd down plays yesterday, will we be seeing him more so against the Hawks??
Would be very insteresting, since I think for two games in a row, you guys will be playing a WCO.
Gruden's WCO did...Eh. Now its Holmgren's WCO thats going to be in the spotlight.

Didn't play yesterday, had been saying along he wouldn't be ready until this upcoming week. Will probaly be listed as day to day all week

You got it backwards.... The complaint was Lavar wasn't being used on 3rd down. In the past he was taken out due to packages he wasn't included in. It now appears he is included in those packages, or they are running different packages in the playoffs (it that fair

)

Not going to see Joe Gibbs blow up on the sidelines (they do that in Texas). This staff handles things behind closed doors, that way the media can't blow it out of proportion.
Seahawkshuddle is our f2f avil so we'll be popping up anyway but thanks for the invite, again enjoy the site and dont forget to check out the

Oh I hear ya...its just that there are some Skin posters that are getting kicked off another Seahawk fans site for posting their opinions.
That won't happen over at Seahawkshuddle.com unless there are extreme circumstances. If it came down to really hardcore smack down, I would just move it down to our Rated R section.

We could start it up over here.....Since you guys have home field for the game, might as well have the fan showdown at our place. Our moderators are good about letting people say what they want.

I'm ready for an above-the-board exchange of opinions. Got nothing but respect for the Seattle organization. (Well, maybe an ounce of ridicule for the blue-on-blue uniforms ...)
This is gonna be a good one.

I told our posters to come on over here for the FAN showdown.

I thought it would help streamline dialogue if we kept thoughts on the game to one thread.
Please remember that we maintain a PG forum here... that includes NOT using asterisks in place of swear words.
The Smack forum is also available for less 'civil' dialogue.
Welcome and enjoy the stay. We look forward to some meaningful dioalogue.

Thanks for the invite!
It should be fun to see some former Seahawks coming back to Qwest field (Shawn Springs, Philip Daniels), although I have a feeling that the fans will be 'booing' Springs. Oh and my hometown High School alumni boy, Mike Sellers (North Thurston Rams) coming back to the pacific northwest.
I look forward in seeing this matchup. I'm sure it doesn't mean anything now in the playoffs, but I call this a 'rematch game'from the previous matchup earlier this year, the miss field goal from our kicker, Josh Brown still burns me inside.
Just 2 words....
"GO HAWKS"

Welcome Seattle fans. I hope you're prepared for loss #2 to the Skins this season. . .
(not that our offense looked all that promising, but I've still got hope

)

The Seahawks defense will not be as formidable as the Bucs defense so I'm looking for the Redskins offense to actually play in this game. It will be tough beating the Hawks at Seattle....very tough. I think our defense is up to the challenge, however, and our offense will be much improved. I'm really looking forward to the Skins showing the Hawks that the first win was no fluke.

Don't underestimate the 12th man! Just ask the NY Giants!

Ah yeah, their 12th man got them SQUAT today. So don't underestimate our ability to play.

Be prepared to see the power of the Q. Where the opposing teams not only hear, but feel our power.
Skins have went as far as they can on this trip, you've played well. Time to pass the baton to the NFC champs.
Here's to a good game you're unfortunately going to lose.

There is NO comparison to who's got the better 12th man, we do!
Put up 120 yards on the Seahawks = kiss goodbye the season

Since we've gotten much better since the last meeting, don't think for a second that you can bring that weak offense to our house.
If you don't have at least 300 yards offense you don't even have a chance.
There won't be Simms in the pocket, you'll get a full dose of a probowl QB and an MVP running back. Throw in the 6 to 10 possible playmakers who'll be catching the ball and you have a DEADLY combination.
I hope it's a good game and not too one sided.
Have a great offseason.
