The question now is, will he be suspended for next weeks game? He seriously put us in jeopardy in this game where all we had was defense.

I don't think they follow up ejections with suspensions.

Just heavy fines.

Thank goodness this ain't FIFA!

I just heard on the postgame thing that Sean Taylor IS SUSPENDED for next weeks game.........personally, I didn't see no spit fly from his mouth. I think he was just talking trash like Bill Cowher does and spit just incidentally flew from his mouth.

I hope they fine his socks off!~! I swear. I hope its like $100,00k. I then hope that the Skins fine him and put his butt in the dog house. I almost wouldn't start him because if he's going to be out there being a detriment why play him? We put players on the field to win us games not lose them.

He wont be suspended for next week's game, but Gibbs could keep him out of the game

I think on the postgame that they said he should be suspended and not that he is suspended.

There's no way they should suspend Taylor for next weeks game for that

You gotta be kidding me......have they even had a review.......come on, he was already kicked out of the game, now fine him and move on.and Taylor needs to grow up and let his game and hitting do the talking

It could be that the spit was accidental, we all know that sometimes when a person gets excited they can create a little spray...

Still, the guys in the booth said they saw Taylor's head bob, as if he was spitting intentionally.

Anyway, I think it's way too early to suspend him until they review the tapes and whatnot.

We can win a playoff game without him though, Stoutmire (sp) made an AWESOME play on that rookie TE WOW!

No, I can't see a suspension here. It's the postseason.
He'll be light in the pocket, if he did spit.

How do some of you actually WANT Taylor suspended? You know that one touchdown catch that Edell Shepherd ALMOST made that would have potentially made us ALMOST lose the game? You think if Taylor was still back there he woulda even had the opportunity? NO WAY. We need Taylor

I personally dont care what they do to him at this point. Im still pissed some maybe I'll cool down. I can't support him after that. You're looking at it as "o he just spat on someone"...

Im looking at it as he didn't have the INTELLIGENCE to realize what he was doing.

He doesn't have self control.

He let the team down.

He let down the people who put their names on the line by sticking up for him. ie. Joe Gibbs

He almost lost us the game.

I don't WANT him suspended... the Bucs threw over the middle without fear once he was tossed...

We NEED him back, but I suggest the following measures:

1.) You know how some players have a face shield attached to the bars of their helmets? Why not a plastic shield for the lower bars so Taylor couldn't spit at people?

2.) Make Taylor wear a mouthpiece. Fine him 1,000 dollars every time it leaves his mouth when he's on the field.

I think that could cure Taylor's spitting problem...

I think Gibbs might have to consider his overall situation here before going to a purely "character" decision.

I agree TC. I say fine him but still start him next game. We can't afford a pyrrhic victory with Taylor by punishing him by sitting him against the Seahawks

That is a good point also. If by that you mean what caused Taylor to do it then I agree. Although there is no excuse for it if Taylor was ruffed up somehow and he responded that way then maybe I'd let him slide on the suspension. I'd still fine him very very heavily.

i can't believe this...ppl actually want taylor suspended NEXT WEEK...

he was ejected from the game, proabably will be fined lets move on...

sure that was reaaaally stupid, but he caught up in the heat of the passion and needs to learn from his idiotic mistakes

but benching him next week is a move i find would come with TRAGIC consequences come next week, maybe regular season but not in the playofffs

People are mad because of the situation that he put us in. The TEAM resolved it. It's over. Let's get some cold hard cash from him and let it go.
A guy his age remembers what cost him in the pocket a lot longer than what cost him on the field. :)

Then how do you fine a multi millionaire enough to make it get through to him?

I dont want him suspended but I wouldn't be mad if he was. I feel he deserves it as a fan of sports. Im a fan of football before a Redskin fan. In the preservation of conduct, and dignity Im not going to wear burgundy blinders for this moron. I love his play but he's clearly incapable of keeping his head in the game.
