Despite a strained groin injury, cornerback Shawn Springs has not been ruled out of Saturday's Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, team officials said on Tuesday.
Trainers and team doctors reviewed Springs' MRI on Tuesday and found no tear or sports hernia evident.
Springs' status, as of Tuesday afternoon, was day to day. The team will release an official injury report on Wednesday afternoon, and at that time, Springs' official status for the game will be known.
Springs will continue to undergo treatment for the injury in the next couple of days and the team will evaluate his status on a day-by-day basis.
Springs re-aggravated the injury during last Sunday's 31-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

I just hope he is ready for Seattle.
I don't think we should have him trying to cover Galloway this week.

I'd refuse to waste my breath on someone so ignorant. If he was ignorant of football that'd be one thing but he's just being a biased idiot. What his favorite team? Im sure there are plenty of poser players you could rag on.

I think he made it obvious he knows little about the NFL and especially defensive backs. Sounds like he's a helluva guy to be around though?
Hopefully Springs and Rogers will start.

Somebody has to cover Galloway, I would think Springs is our best cover corner, certainly I wouldn't want Walt "Go ahead" Harris on the guy, Rogers would be ok but garaunteed to be burnt once or twice...having Springs and Rogers start will be a bonus for us.

Anyone who covers Galloway would need safety help. Springs can't help us if he's not able to run with this guy. At least Tampa lost Clayton.

This is great news. Just yesterday morning, I'd heard on the radio that he was gonna be out of the game on Sat, but, I'm really glad the report I heard was wrong. Our DBs will be tested again in Tampa, and we will need all hands on deck. Again, great news.
BEAT TAMPA...AGAIN!!!!!

Anybody that uses the phrase cover corner is an idiot anyways.
Is Portis a bad running running back?
Is Moss a bad receiving wide receiver?

I will not celebrate these news until the official report comes out later today. Teams do not like to reveal the full extent of injuries and the Skins would not be the first or last to do so. I am actually happy to know that Carlos Rogers is ready.

At least Rogers is back, and the D-line is at full strength, so Simms will be feeling some heat while he's looking for targets. This is Simms' first playoff game, right? A strong pass rush on an inexperienced QB is going to go a long way toward covering up the injuries in the secondary. The defense will get the job done tomorrow.
