I think he's gonna play. No Source or anything... just as a fan and seeing what I see... I'd bet he plays.
Rogers and Springs are gonna beat the punks down.

I hope we rest him and that he doesn't tear it in this game. Go Springs!! Dont listen to the doubters on this board, you've been fantastic since youve been here. Chump who?

I know it might be cocky, but I would love to get Rogers back and try and rest Springs for the next game.
I just feel that Gibbs will work his genius after seeing this team for the second time, just like he did for the Giants an Pokes

Not cocky, thats a good idea. I'd still have Springs suited up incase of emergency. Id' keep him on the bike so he'd be loose and limber. If we dont need him then I'd rest him. So we could be full strength.

I am sure he would love to be full strength going back to Seattle, the team that let him go. How sweet would that be if he could put them out of the playoffs at home.

Listening to Tiki and Ronde on the Barber Shop on Sirius this morning, both said that they think the Redskins will be successful in forcing Sims to throw, and that that will be the key to the game. I think they are right.
If that is the case, it will be critical to ensure that Galloway is covered like a blanket. I don't think they can afford to sit Springs if he is able to go.
It's the playoffs. You field the best team you have availible every game from here out. You lose, you go home.

He is injured though. My coach used to say that there is a difference between being injured and being hurt. When you are hurt, if you play it only hurts. But when you're injured, if you play, you only hurt the team.
I love Springs, but if he can't separate his legs on that groin, he may be a liability out there.

That and we dont want him to tear it and be gone for the entire playoffs.
Then you can argue can we beat Tampa without him...?
Thats why I say we dress him, keep him on the bike and if we need him towards the end of the game we use him.
Another thing is why not use Taylor on Joey since we have a surplus of safeties in certain situations? Im darn sure he can jam him up at the line.

Yes! Why not? He shut down Shockey every time they did this. Or at the very least, roll him over to Joey's side of the field every time. I noticed that last week Williams sent Taylor a few times on a blitz... It sounds crazy, but I just think Taylor is too good to "waste" on a blitz. Send everyone else and let him cover the rest of the field. The guy is amazing.
bad news

I just saw on the ticker on ESPN that Springs has been listed as doubtful and is not espected to play. The return of Rodgers is huge but lets be honesy, Walt Harris sucks. Hopefully we can get enough pressure on Simms and force him to make mistakes.

That's ESPN listing him right? or is it the NFL? All I know is straight from the horses mouth GW said that we would make a "gametime decision" on Springs and that they would work him out down in tampa.

Well the trainers and drs said they would not make the decision until game time so how the heck could ESPN know???????

good point about GW, I guess ESPN is just trying to stir the fire a little bit. I hope he plays with Rodgers on the other side, we will be in good shape.

ESPN doesn't know jack, they just talk to hear themselves talk.
Walt Harris doesn't suck either. He aint get burnt as bad as Smoot did this season and I could have sworn he's been starting for us the past few games. He's done a great job.

ESPN doesn't know crap! I just heard on the NFL channel that not only is it a game time decision but Shawn practiced for the ENTIRE practice today. If he was questionable/not likely to play that would not happen.

To coincide with that Niki said Kelli Johnson reported that Shawn Springs received some new treatment and said he "feels as good as he has over the past 3 weeks." It's up to Gregg Williams whether he plays or not.
A friend of mine who visits extremeskins pointed that thread out to me.
I hope they aren't hopping this cat up with painkillers because he's still aggravating the injury although he can't feel it. If he pushes it too hard he could do even more damage or tear it.

I agree, Chris. I hope he's not playing with painkillers, but with NFL injuries, you just never know. Injury information is a weapon, of course. I guess we'll know after the season.

Heyas!
Doctor Needles should have him ready to play in Nickle situations. I think asking anything more is unwise. Carlos is ready to prove his worth, he is gonna be awesome!!

If he's feeling better then he has in 3 weeks, that includes his performance against the Cowboys, the Giants, and the Eagles. He will be able to tell them what he is ready for, but trust me when I say Tampa is very afraid of hearing he's a go.
