Yep, but I still feel so sick about losing Randy Thomas. I think that will be a huge loss and it just really bugs me.

Saturday will be a huge test. If Ray can make it thru this game without a hitch, if we dont notice him at all then I'll be confident that we can continue on with him starting and not have problems. Thankfully we'll be at home so he can get a game under his belt to avoid offside penalties and to get back in stride.

Try not to get drunk before the game even starts. Jake and I had some guy wondering around trying to figure out which way was up before the game started.

One thing I haven't heard people talking about much is whether Ray Brown might actually have an advantage coming in fresh at this point in the season. He is a tested veteran who now gets to come in and play a season that will be, at most, six games long . . . against guys who have been grinding it out for four months already.

You made a good point, one that I mentioned in another thread. He's as fresh as he'll ever be coming into this game. Clearly the guy proved last year that he can compete. He's not going to be a beast, prolly not dominating, we need him to hold his own at least and Im confident he can do that. Im think he'll perform well, especially if his legs are fresh.

That's right. Bottom line is the guys we have can get the job done. Ray Brown can get the job done. We know our Redskins have been well prepared. At this point it is a question of heart, concentration, and determination. Everything is on the line. May our guys stay healthy and fight hard to the last whistle. Hail to the Redskins!

Here's what I think. A lot of people (myself included) expected Dallas to come out last week and throw the ball a lot, challenging our injured secondary and resulting in a Dallas win.
Now, I'm sure people will say that Thomas' injury and Brown's insertion in the lineup will spell doom for our running game because Thomas pulls all over the place and Brown, well, Brown just won't be able to do that.
Well, I have news for those folks....the same thing will happen this week! The Skins will find a way to tweak their running game with Brown in there and we'll be fine.
Let's focus on stopping Tiki and we'll be fine.

I find it amusing that my home state is solidly behind the Redskins chances.

I think Ray will be fine. I feel better that he's coming in rather than somebody with only 1 or 2 years experience. For a few games Ray should be able to perform at a high level.
